Third POV
It had been ten months since Akana left Jujutsu Tech, and her recovery was finally successful. Though she still wrestled with the decision of whether to return to school or not. But, she wanted to visit her close friends and Suguru to gather her thoughts and clear her mind.
"Here we go." Shoko said as she and Geto threw a pencil and an eraser at Gojo. But instead of hitting them on his face, the objects stopped at a small distance and floated around.
"Yeah, it's working." Gojo was proud of his accomplishment as he caught the eraser in his hand leaving Shoko in confusion.
"Ugh, what the heck was that?" As she asked.
"Automatic selection of targets for your Jujutsu technique?" A rather tired looking Geto said as he observed it.
"Yup, though to be precise, l'm the target for the technique. l've automated what I used to do manually. Now it can discern an object's danger level based on the strength of it's cursed energy, it's mass, it's velocity and it's shape. I'd like to get it to discern poisons too, not that's still proving difficult. This will allow me to keep my limitless technique active almost perpetually with minimal resources" Gojo held the pencil and eraser in his hand as he explained how his technique worked.
"Having it perpetually active will fry your brain.. "Shoko said a little worried. But Gojo wasn't in the least bit, as he further explained how he can use reverse cursed technique to overcome it and consecutively use his techniques.
As they were talking among each other, Geto's mind was wandering away.'Sator had become the strongest.'
Akana looked toward her boyfriend, who leaned against a wall. She gave a small confused look as I was about to approach him.
"Suguru, have you lost weight? You okay?" Geto heard Gojo asking him.
'He handled all his missions alone, and shoko was never sent out on dangerous missions in the first place, which naturally meant i was sent on missions alone more often, too.' Geto's thoughts.
"It's just heat fatigue. I'll be fine."He made up the excuse without even thinking much.
"Did you eat too much somen?" Gojo still asked, as if confused how his friend was sick.
"Suguru, let's go inside then. I think some water could help." Akana suggested as Suguru nodded. Akana grabbed his hand and lead him inside of Jujutsu high.
Akana held a water bottle out to Suguru. He took it, a tried smiled on his face. "Thanks."
As she took a seat next to him. Suguru drank the water, sighing. " Akana, I have a question for you give me your honest answer." he says, sounding almost hesitant to say anything in the first place.
Akana replied, curious. "Hmm, Alright what's the question?"
"Don't you ever think that... this is pointless? risking our lives almost constantly?" He queried.
"If you mean being a sorcerer, I find it far from pointless. We protect those who can't protect themselves." Akana spoke.
"But we've lost multiple sorcerers doing it. We could've lost Gojo if he hadn't managed to use the reverse technique. Don't you think that's a sign to stop?"
"Well, If I'm killed during a mission for example, I would die knowing that I did some good for the world. If I'm forgotten when I die, I still feel that goodness in my soul."
Suguru expected that kind of answer from Akana. She's someone who always to help, even when nobody needed it. He loved her for it. However, Akana naive sometimes. She ignored to danger and blinded by being a knight in shining armor. When she aren't able to help, she would break down and put the blame on herself, similar to how Akana were during last year's mission.
