Akana POV
4 years later...
When the doorway with hell residing at one dark window. Wandering aimlessly through the halls, I sought any form of distraction to avoid the inevitable. His steps were nearing, making me raise my gaze from the dark flooring. His onyx eyes gleamed at my figure, and he flicked his gaze around as he wiped his hands on a cloth.
I heard them for what felt like hours. But in reality, it's only been for a split second. They disobeyed him, and it resulted in their demise. It's just how he was. If I disobeyed him, I'm might get punished.
He stopped in front of me, tucking the cloth in the back pocket of his jeans. He rolled his gaze over me, frowning as he rolled his sleeves up to his elbows. He placed a hand on my cheek. "Are you ready?"
I nod in response. He placed a hand on my lower back, motioning for me to walk forward. The two people at the front doors trembled, eyes wide as they laid eyes on the two of us. They were fearful, dropping to their knees before us.
"W-We promise n-not to di-disobey you, Geto!" They cried, bodies racking with sobs.
"It seems you two are the only ones who understand,"
The man beside I said. "Stand up."
They followed after me as Geto led me away. They were three steps behind, gazes trained to the floor. That's all they were to him.
It's all anyone was to him.
But not me. I were so much higher than them. I was his queen, not like those little pawns around him. He wouldn't ever dare call me a monkey, like the rest of them. I'm a goddess compared to them.
"Is there something bothering you, my love?" He asks, his hands cupping my shoulders as he stepped behind me. The sun pouring in from the open door was warm on his face, and he unconsciously released a breath at I presence.
My hand reached up and grabbed his and says. "No, I'm alright."
"You didn't sleep much last night, Akana." He said, his face in the crook of my neck. "Do you want to rest for a while?"
As I declined. He sighed, his hands moving to wrap around my waist. He frowned.
"Have you been eating while I'm gone, Akana?" He asked softly.
"Yes." I lied. We both knew it. I didn't touch anything unless he was watching me, making sure I'm eating it. He could just tell by touching me.
"How are you feeling today?" He asked, kissing my neck gently.
"I'm doing it fine. May I ask why, Suguru?"
"No reason," He said.
I fell into silence. I'm breathing softly, quietly, gaze focused on the pond outside. He brought me closer to him, his humming filling the air, breaking the silence. I giggled quietly, the vibrations from his throat making you shiver. He smiled.
"Suguru." I said, gaining his attention. " Do you remember years ago that I wanted pet fish."
"Yes."
"I was wondering, do you think we could get some koi fish? I'd love to see their beautiful colors."
"Of course. How many do you want?" Suguru hummed.
"More than one, I don't want the Koi fish get lonely." I says.
"Hm, I didn't know that, Then we'll get some pairs, how does that sound?" He replied.
I was by the pond when he came home the next day. He'd watched my eyes light up at the sight of the tub in his arms, the brightly colored fish inside. He rolled his sleeves up and watched me, following my movements as I slowly introduced the fish into the water.
