A MUFFLED ARGUMENT, distant but unmistakable, echoes from behind the closed door to the adjoining bedroom.It's her sister's voice, raised in anger, and it's laced with a desperation that chills her to the bone.She knows that voice well; she's heard it countless times before,always followed by the same old story of heartache and betrayal.And then there's his voice, deep and authoritative,trying to reason with her sister, but failing miserably.She can practically feel the tension radiating from the other side of the door.The more she listens, the more confused she becomes.
Sighing,Rory open the door of her college apartment."What do you want ?"
"I don't know"Jess followed her inside the apartment. "I just wanted to see you,talk to you I just- ...."
"What ?"Rory shook her head."Come with me"Jess mumbled under his breath.
"What ?" Rory frowned her brows in confusion.
"Just come with me"Jess pleaded the Gilmore girl. "Where ?"Rory chuckled.
"I don't know"Jess yelled. "Away"
"Are you crazy"Rory glanced at the guy in front her. "Come with me,don't think about it"Jess reached out and took Rory's hand.
"I can't do that"Rory drew her hand away from him.
"You don't think you can doubt you can do whatever you want"Jess shouted.
"But it's not what I want" Rory's voice was pleading,but there was a brittleness to it that chilled Betty to the bone.
"It is,I know you"Jess chuckled and took a step toward the brunette girl.
"You don't know me"Rory's voice cracked.
"Look we will go to New york,we'll live together" He reached out a hand, hesitating before touching her cheek gently. "We will be together"
"No" There was a long pause. Then Rory's voice, sharp and filled with hurt, "This is not me,it's Betty's dream not mine"
Betty's heart skipped a beat.She pressed her ear harder against the door,desperate to hear more.
"Look,I wanna be with you"There was a long pause."But not here not this place,not Stars hallow"
"There is nothing to start"Rory's voice was barely audible,almost a whisper.
"I am ready for you"Jess stammered, his voice tight with emotion. "I know, i wasn't but i am now"
Betty could hear her sister growing more and more agitated.Glancing between the two, she opened the door slowly."I don't wanna interrupt but I have exam this morning and I am not like ready of it .And you two kinda rui-" Betty blurted out.
