Jayson's POV
"Pizza or wings?" Ana asked
"Both" melo scoffed
I came over to play basketball and just chill
I found myself over here a lot more than usual since there wasn't shit else for me to do
"I thought you were going to the movies with your girls" Melo said
"I was but queen is sick, Nique has her son this week, and Nae's not feeling up to it" she replied
"Is she okay?" I asked
"Yeah, It's only a cold and I think she got it from one of her kids" Ana nodded
"I meant Dez" I said plainly
"Oh! Uh yeah she's fine" she nodded
"You're a terrible liar shordy" Melo laughed
I watched as she rolled her eyes
I just went upstairs to the bathroom and FaceTimed Dez
She normally picked up on the second ring
It was the last ring before the phone would signal a missed call and I was starting to worry
"Hey" she said as she propped her phone up
"Where you at?" I asked
"Studio" she said as she held up a composition book
"I just called to check on you" I admitted
"I'll be fine once I get these thought on the paper" she groaned
"I thought you said you didn't have to do anymore songs yet"
"I don't. I just need to get these thoughts out of my head and this is the only way I know how...in a way that makes sense at least" she sighed
"Talk to me baby. You just let it out and I'll try and figure it out" I said
I don't know why I called her baby; it just flew from my mouth
I watched as she sighed
"Where are you?" She asked
"Melo's"
"Go to the guest room on the 3rd floor..it's my room" she said
Her and Ana must be like sisters or something because having her own room here was crazy
I left the bathroom and walked up the second flight of stairs
"Which door?" I asked
"The last one on the right"
I nodded and walked into the room
I closed the door behind me and looked around the room before sitting down on the bed
"Okay..promise you won't think I'm crazy"
"I promise" I nodded
"That person I told you about, I can't seem to let him go and it's fucking my mind up jay" she groaned
"What's keeping you attached to him?" I asked
"All my unanswered questions."
"So all you want is answers from the guy?" I asked
I was so confused
"And to thank him. I appreciate life so much more because of him, I became a better person because of him, I no longer let things hold me back because of him, and I feel like he deserves a proper thank you."
