Chapter 6 | Whats Wrong?

Rainbow had started off, her friend holding on tightly. She decided to go to a place further away from where  they lived, not near School, not near Sweet Apple Acres. Further away, where on earth was she taking the two of them?

She drove down a slight winding road where some woods would surround them, she turned to her right onto a old pocket of the woods , she parked keeping her helmet on, adjusting the Velcro of her gloves.

"What in tarnation are we doing out here?" AJ asked, noticing the girl not reply, was RD still upset? What was wrong, she needed to know.
"Rainbow Dash explain or I'm leaving." She started to get off the back of the bike and stood with both hands to her hips.

RD carefully removed her helmet and looked at AJ. "What's wrong? Don't like exploring?" She made sure her Bike was safely parked and turned off before getting off herself, she noticed AJs expression before letting out a chuckle, this was just a bit funny to her.

"Oh you think it's funny that you can drive me off into the woods?" She asked standing her ground. "The main highway is literally there Apple Jack." The Vibrant colored hair said. She then went and sat on one the fallen tree logs. "Either way, this is better than being at home in my opinion."

AJ paused confused by this, she decided to walk and sit by the girl and looked up. "Why's that?" She asked as the silence grew a bit. "Because my dad he's-" Magenta eyes met Emerald as she spoke. "He's been really angry lately." She was sugar coating it a bit, and AJ could tell. "I'm sorry about that Sugar Cube." The blonde put her hand  to the other's arm. "But you don't gotta go at it alone... you could tell me." She watched the girl shake her head. "It's not that easy AJ." She sighed knowing she wanted to say more.

They sat there for a while, AJ kept quiet as she let the other girl look up at the trees. She then heard the girls' raspy voice. "I'm sorry for distancing.." RD said before feeling the skin of the others hand to hers. "It's ok, you was in a tough spot I assume?" AJ carefully looked at the girl.

"Umm, yeah- See my dad.." she said. Could she trust AJ? Was she really able to even speak of this?

"Yes?" The Lightly freckled girl insisted slightly.

"My dad isn't the greatest at the moment.." she paused. "Towards me, he's always mad and says the most terrible things, and he.." she paused.

"Takes it out on you?" AJs words slipped out before RD nodded. "He breaks things sometimes.. My mom has made him leave or ended up once calling the police." The Magentas eyes seemed sadden and glossed suddenly she felt the girls arms wrap around her.

AJ held Rainbow close, she didn't understand really how the girl was feeling but she was Rainbows friend and if the Iridescent girl trusted her with such information she was willing to comfort and protect her. She heard a slight sniffle now rubbing the girls back. "Shhh im here."

Rainbow started to cry, she's never cried in front of her friends besides Fluttershy, the waterworks just started as she gripped the girls Shirt. She felt weak and embarrassed hearing soft shushes and "it's ok" from the girl.

"What did I do ? I try to keep my grades up and help with Derpy and even get to practice." She yelped, "I mean I did miss Wednesday but that's because he...He had.." she let out a harsh cry, AJ rubbing her back she was breaking down before the girl, has she not cried? "I'm sorry for that Sugar cube." She gently looked at Rainbow as the girl departed and looked down still tears flowing before noticing tanned hands touch her face

AJs hand carefully caressed the girls cheeks, her thumbs wiping away the new and old tears. She looked at the glossed and flooded Pink eyes.
Her emerald eyes softly observed her, she felt as though she would or could do anything for the girl. "Next time he starts, please message me, I'll be there."

Rainbow felt a tightness in her chest , and a soft heat on her face, she had never been held or cared about like this. But she didn't understand. She gave a nod to the girl who kept her hands to the girls face. She wasn't sure why her stomach seemed to do flips. She wasn't sure how long Their eyes were locked together, she could tell AJ was observing her.
