Chapter 4 | Soarin

Chapter 4: Soarin

RD had made her way to the fields now, she grabbed a ball
Now kicking it to try and think of any excuse to share with the girls , but she couldn't. She wanted to be truthful.
Her head spun, kicking the ball into the goal.

The thing was, Rainbow always was different, she didn't tend to be girly. Her thoughts kept on about Monday, her dad came home mad again like always, he had become cruel. All he cared about was his old history known as Bow HotHoof the fastest Speed racer ever. He would yell and threaten, his words cut deep to the girls heart. "You're worthless." It stabbed her , her eyes were already stinging. She grumbled now before kicking the ball, missing the goal.

"Whoa, that was a hard kick." A voice called the girl turned around to see a familiar face. She rolled her eyes and turned back around to go and get the ball. "Yeah yeah, pretty good right?" She asked before the male started again.
"Right- pretty .. aggressive actually."

Soarin was Rainbows childhood friend , His dad was her dads old boss and colleague. So they were pretty close at a certain point.
"Aggressive? Well gotta teach the thing who's boss." She said before kicking the ball to the dark blue haired male who passed it back. "Yeah- I guess so but, I am wondering about something." He started, and the multicolored paused
"Right-?"

Soarin dribbled the ball once it was passed back to him. "Yeah- how's it been?" He asked softly before passing the ball and Rainbow kicked it to the goal, "It's been.." she paused thinking. "Awesome-" she lied ever so easily as the male shook his head. "If you say so, but when I notice you miss practice Wednesday , I was clearly wrong." He scratched the back of his head and noticed kids leaving the building. "So do your friends know why you've not come to school for the past three days?"

"Four-." She corrected, "They believe I've missed Four days."
She stood wiping sweat from her head. Soarin kept an eye on the girl and gestured to her to come and sit at the bleachers. "Come on, you clearly need a break." The iridescent girl just followed.

Now sitting with the dark blue haired male she looked at him and knew he had more questions, she thought and then spoke. "I've been having trouble at home again." Is what she said before grabbing her water bottle where she left it. The male observed her and was not surprised.

"You know RD, you're allowed to tell me anything." He was softer in tone, he felt worry hit him as the girl looked down.
"Yeah, I know- but this is just a lot to share at once." Her eyes looked to the field now.
"Then share it little by little and when you're ready. I'm not here to judge you- you're practically family to me and my pops." He leans back.

Apple Jack had thought throughout the class and decided she would check where Rainbow has always ended up after class on Fridays. She and the girls would go to the Soccer Field just so Their Friend could practice , showing off and teaching them new tricks too.

But today Apple Jack saw her sitting with someone on the Bleachers, a boy that seemed ever so taller and with JetBlue hair. She assumed he was one of the boys from the boys team, because he held the ball and talked to Rainbow so easily.

She then noticed him placing a hand to the girls' shoulder and The Multihued girl shared a slight smile, The male had white wings with some slight blue tips. She Observed the two from afar before turning about , her mind wondering if that's what she's been doing, ditching class with a random boy she hardly knew.

No, of course not Rainbow Dash wouldn't be hanging out with any guy alone, she basically despised them in a way. But that didn't make sense because well RD was with this random guy who now stood and waved goodbye to her.
Soarin had walked past and made his way to the schools' parking lot.

"Apple Jack?, why are you hiding behind a tree?" A soft voice asked as AJ nearly jumped out of her boots. "Oh, my goodness Fluttershy.. you nearly scared my britches off." The blonde adjusted her hat and then rubbed her neck nervously.
"Sorry." The girl responded before looking over, "I guess we had the same idea in class?" Fluttershy asked softly before noticing AJ staring at the same male who was talking with some other girls.

"AJ?" The girl said again as Apple Jack responded. "Hmm?" Her eyes fixated at the tall male, who was he anyways?
"That's Soarin, he's on the Boys Soccer and Football team." Apple Jacks face turned sharply to the girl. "You know him?" Is what the Farm girl asked. As the shorter answer. "Yes we all went to Cloudsdale together." Her bright eyes looking up.

The Tanned girl raised a brow. "Y'all?" She asked, sounding probably very stupid.
"O-oh, Me, Soarin and Rainbow Dash." Her tone was quiet, And yes AJ felt stupid, it was obvious. "Right, that explains." She rubbed her arm before sighing.

"Yeah, he's one of Rainbow dads, friend kid." The girl said before noticing a slight confusion on AJs face. "Oh, Her dad and his dad use to work together."
"Right-.." AJ replied

/Anywho , imma go chill, I'll get more chapters done soon! Hope you like it. Also I like the idea of Soarin being closer as family than being the boy who tried to steals RD away- why not make him the protective big brother type of friend??-🥝//
