Chapter 22 | Patience & Time

It was simply pass 1 am when Apple Jack woke up, she noticed the room she was in was not hers, she started to sit up before noticing the same beautiful girl beside her.

"How many times will we be doing this?"

The cow girl carefully made her way out to the Motley hairs bed and headed to the stairs. Leading down where the kitchen light was on and in one the chairs of the living room sat Windy. She looked up and tilted her head.

"Oh my? Why are you up late in the middle of the night?" Windy asked, she had checked on the kids earlier and she noticed Apple Jack had decided to stay over. "Is everything ok?"
AJ paused she looked to the woman, she wondered if she was ok, she nodded but she was basically lying.

"Now now, go sit at the table I'll get some tea for you." The woman got up laying down what ever she was doing.
AJ oblige "what were you doing?" The cow girl asked. Her tone soft and quiet, "Oh-? That ? Some times i crotchet to get my nerves settled." Windy had started to get the water to a boil.
"At one in the morning?"

A nervous laugh escaped the woman then she sighed. "Well sometimes I can't sleep so I need something to distract me." She now went to the table and observed the girl. "Now you tell me, why are you up, I told your folks you was staying over so?"

That made AJ freeze, she paused to think of how to tell the woman but couldn't come up with anything. "Well, I uhh. Accidentally fell asleep-.."

"Ohh ok, that's fair... but that doesn't tell me what is keeping you up now." Windy said and she put the tea on the table. "Careful now it's hot." The farm girl nodded and looked at the woman, she then sighed out.

"Miss Whistles may I tell ya somethin'?" The blonde looked aside , see she wasn't use to talking about things, and also she didn't have a mother figure to talk to, even though granny was around , Granny Smith wouldn't understand at all.

"Why of course, you're welcome to to talk to me anytime hun. And also it's Windy ok, all that Mrs Whistles makes me feel old." The blonde gave the other a slight smile, finding her comment humorous.

"Well ma'am , I mean Windy- for pass few days I've grown an attachment to somebody, but it's confusing because they give off the same um Energy but they been having a lot trouble lately.." She looked to the woman who nodded.
"Energy?" The Cyan skinned woman  asked.

"Umm to show the same ?" Is how AJ explained it and the woman across from her nodded drinking her tea.

"Yeah and we shared a few moments." The girl paused looking at her cup while Windy thought. "Well if this boy.." AJ looked up quickly.

"Or , Girl..?" Windy slightly questioned before continuing. "They should let you know sooner or later." She then cleared her throat. "Orrr You should let them know."

Apple Jack looked aside. "But I have... Well  I've expressed.. I feel it's just a bit confusing for both of us." The girl then noticed the other set her cup down. "You both will find your ways. Just be patient with them." Windy gave a reassuring smile. "Everything works out with patience and Time."

"Now you and the others have school tomorrow."

"Yes ma'am." AJ replied she felt better, maybe Windy was right, she just needed to be patient with Rainbow.
She headed back up stairs.

AJ was thinking of what RDs mother had said, was it weird that she had brought up her feelings for Rainbow to the girls mother? Probably not, besides it wasn't like she had anyone like how the other girls did, her parents past away a long time ago, making her the only one with out a mother or father, she crawled back into the bed before noticing the other was awake.

"Oh my god-!" The blonde yelped before deserving a silent chuckle from Rainbow Dash.
"Dash you nearly gave me a heart attack.." the blonde huffed and turned away from the girl who now raised a brow.

"Well don't sneak into my room at... hmm what time is it?"

"Late-" is all AJ said she then felt the girl finger poke the back of her neck making her slightly flinch. "What was that for?" She asked sharply and turned around hearing a slight giggle from Rainbow, she shook her head.

She then sighed. "If you don't quit I'll go to the couch." She threatened and there it was the girl cling to her arm. "Nooo-!" AJ lay down and gently looked at RD. "Then sleep." She put her hand to the girls who was still clinging to her. "Besides we have school in a few hours and I'm not going to be late because of you." She now poked Rainbows cheek and decided to close her eyes.

Windy was right, Patience and Time was going to have to be key with Rainbow apparently.

But one thing she knew, it will be worth it.
