Chapter 2 | Early Chores, Late Arrivals

It was nearly 4 am when AJ woke up, she would be out doing some chores like feeding the chickens or something. She decided to do something else instead since she had to basically pry herself away from the girl beside her. Her blonde hair was a mess as she looked to the girl, she had to carefully get out so she didn't wake her.

AJ started simply putting a lamp on instead of the main light, she looked at the room and it was a huge mess. She started with the desk tidying up the loose papers and different worksheets that didn't even look hardly done.
Putting the pencils and pens in a different pile before turning around.

Still resting easily was Rainbow Dash as the Blonde went to pick up clothes and separate them from what expected to be clean to what was probably dirty. Soon the laundry was in two separate piles, one folded nicely and placed in the girls dresser. The other left in a bin that AJ assumed was a laundry basket.

The last bit kind of concerned her though, There were blue feathers everywhere and She wasn't sure why on earth Rainbow wouldn't pick them up herself. She picked it up. It was soft and light, it reflected from the dull light from the lamp, its vibrant blues showing. She made a decision to throw them in the little trash bin the girl had under her desk. Besides all that and a few Daring Do books- her room was nearly done. She decided to make sure the girl was covered up.

Now ready to head back to her own home to do her morning chores and to then get ready for school. It was Friday after all. She looked at the resting girl smiling, something about Rainbow just always caught her eye, like her Hair how soft it looked and how sometimes the colored streaks would get mixed up together the farther the layers of hair fell into place.

Or her Cyan toned skin, it was more tinted than it usually was during winter, so clearly it must be tanned from all the soccer games and being outside. She observed her face as well. It was so calm, Rainbow was calm , her green eyes observed her face more till she paused, this wasn't the first time she's caught herself mesmerized by Rainbow Dash.

It happened at School, at her own house. She always wondered what the girl was dreaming, because the pegasi folk always had wings, and Rainbow was dreaming because, well , her wings fluttered like crazy. The emerald eyed girl let out a giggle and decided to leave Rainbow out some clothes in case she did wake. She left a note before leaving from the window. In hopes to not wake any of the people who were still asleep, she made her way from the roofed area and down the way she came. Now on the lawn as the sun started to just peak.

A breeze could be felt tickling the back of the rainbow haired girl as she groaned, pulling the blankets over her more. Her eyes opened slightly, noticing the sun had raised and turned over to see her room was well clean. Clean enough to her liking At least. Her eyes noticed the cracked window and knew that the girl had left earlier.

She stared seeing the set of clothes and sat up. Rubbing her eyes before getting out of the bed and going to the window closing it, now to the set of clothes where there was a note

'Sorry Sugar Cube but not all of us can sleep in on Fridays ;) - AJ'

Rainbow rolled her eyes reading that and headed to the door opening it to see before her was
Derpy , the yellow faded eyes kept forward before speaking. "Good morning Rainbow Dash." She was all dressed and ready for school. "Morning Derpy." The girl said still drowsy and headed to the bathroom to get ready.

Meanwhile Derpy was now headed to the car where Windy was sitting in. Derpy was blind , or well very blurred vision along with color blindness. The girl got in the car as Windy spoke. "Did your sister get ready?" The woman looked at the girl who shook her head. Hearing a sigh from her mother. "Well let's go, we don't want you late."

By the time Rainbow was able to leave the house, It was already maybe 11 am , her mother was already back carrying some groceries in. She got onto her bike placing the helmet on before adjusting the facial shield. Soon taking off in a heartbeat to not even get lectured by her mother.

Soon enough she was in the school parking lot. She decided to stay there awhile. She felt she had to be there, geez Apple Jack put clothes out for her, so she couldn't just let the girls' hard work go to waste.

She thought of it too, she had cleaned her whole room , and kept where the girl didn't wake up. She soon threw her bag over her shoulder and started to the building as the bell was about to ring. Again for lunch. The girl was extremely late to school and on purpose too.
