Chapter 8 | Confused

Within the hour Rainbow had driven AJ home and to return home soon enough walking into the door she heard a ping of her phone.

AJ- 6:15 pm
Hello, I was wondering if you got home safe?

She stared at her phone wondering why she would ask.

Rainbow Dash - 6:17 pm
Yeah, I just got home.

AJ - 6:17 pm
Alright , if you need anything let me know.

Rainbow put her phone into her pocket as she stood in the doorway, she stared at the ceiling thinking. She was finally not thinking of the stress she had, she was thinking of AJ.

Example when AJ was deep in thought and staring at her earlier, it made her stomach turn, not turn, tumble. She didn't understand it at the time but she liked when the girl looked at her, was that weird? She wasn't sure.

Well she knew she liked girls but never  thought she would fall for her best friend. She opened her phone and went to photos, she scrolled looking  at her and AJs pictures her face became pink at the thought.

She then thought of the message, it made her think more, was she going crazy? Was the Lightly Freckled girl filling her thoughts now?
She didn't mind of course because it was better than anything but the stress.

"Hiiiii Rainbow Dashhhh!" She heard as frail arms went around her, RD hugged her sister and patted her back. "Hey Derpy." Derpys clouded eyes looked up and then over away, RD helped the girl upstairs to do Thier homework, that's one reason the Multi hued girl hasn't done most of her work.

AJ put her phone down. She was helping her granny a bit in the kitchen but her mind was elsewhere, she was worried sick for her friend. She checked her phone again, no reply back, so she laid it back down again. Kneading the dough for the pies.

She soon got done with her chores and headed to her room. Sitting in the windows and unbraided her hair. She kept her thoughts to herself as her mind thought of Rainbows lips again, she paused and now grabbed her phone again, going to the search engine.

She typed slowely and carefully, clearly wanting answers, what showed up was different terms of sexualities and gender identities. She carefully read all of them through the night she gave up and put the phone on charge.

Her Tanned orange cheeks turned ever so pink from what she was thinking. Could she really like the Blue Feathered girl with Deep Magenta eyes? And if that's it, was she even allowed to ask somebody about it? She didn't have anyone to turn and ask about these feelings. She laid flat on her bed like this morning, staring at the ceiling with Rainbow beside her.

These feelings were confusing, She was a girl, she couldn't like girls? Was it just because of the slight tension and from worry , just rushing quickly? She gulped and held her pillow close and tried to think of something else. But all that filled her head was the Motley colored girl. "Ahhhhhgh!" She turned over suddenly falling out of her bed with a thud. "Ouch.." She rubbed her arm shaking her head.
"I blame Rainbow Dash for this!"

"For what?" A younger voice came from the girls door and Apple Jack looked up quickly.
"Oh god Apple Bloom you startled me." She let out a sigh "Sorry big sis! But I heard you scream and fall so I wanted make sure you're ok." She walked to Apple Jack. "So?"

"I'm fine-" AJ said vaguely and got up suddenly noticing the Shorter girl looking at her "Yes-, Apple Bloom?" She questioned the girl who seemed very curious.

"Oh, uhh you said you blame Rainbow on something but ... she's not here?"

Apple Jack gave a nervous laugh. "Oh- heh.. Just this whole school week has been kind of, a little confusing kiddo." Is all she said and chuckled lightly. "And Rainbows just kinda made it turn upside down I guess."

"Another friendly competition or an Argument?" The little red head asked suddenly noticing AJs composure change.

"I'm not sure, it's all a bit hard  to explain." She patted the girls head and stretched , she was ready for bed.

"Well goodnight Sis!"

"Good night Apple Bloom."

And she laid down again and still felt concerned and confused about herself.
