Chapter 5 | "Say Something."

"Hey guys?" A familiar voice echoed and once again AJs soul tried to escape her body.
"Hi Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy shared a slight excitement before hugging the girl while Rainbow carefully patted the girls back, snickering at Apple Jack. "Geez, you alright there AJ?" She kept herself from laughing before raising a brow. "What are you guys up to?" Rainbow kept up her usual demeanor, trying to act cool and whatever. "That's what we should be asking you." The Blonde sharply said before the smaller pink girl distanced a bit, sensing tension from the blonde.

"I don't know what you're getting at." The Multi Colored streaked girl responded her, she knew her friend was not taking it. "Forget it." Apple Jack tone felt slightly bothered, it wasn't because of Soarin anymore , it was because her friend. Rainbow Dash was lying to her, Rainbow has been at school today and not even said a single hello.

"Apple Jack?" Asked Fluttershy , getting ignored she looked at RD. The Magenta eyes rolled before patting the others shoulder. "Sorry I didn't come see you earlier at lunch, just needed space." She was honest to the shorter girl before Fluttershy nodded. "It's ok, I understand."
"At least you do." RD responded and started to walk. Her eyes kept on the girl walking away. "It's just hard to talk about." Fluttershy sensed the girl was deeply hurt in a way. "It's alright, take your time." She put a hand to Rainbows' arm..
A honk could be heard, "Oh that's my ride Dashie, talk later!" The frail girl said running off and RD watched soon deciding to run to AppleJack

The Athlete had manage to catch up to the Southern. "Apple Jack." She called "AJ?" She said her hand was now touching the girls' shoulder which made Apple Jack turn to her. "What do ya want Rainbow? Coming back from ignoring me I see?" Rainbow paused, confused by her words. "What?" She asked as the other crossed her arms and kept walking now. "Oh nothing, not like you came to school without saying hello or give warning." The Blue feathered girl looked to the Lightly freckled and followed. "Oh- that... I just needed some space or whatever." She felt something crack inside her. She didn't mean to upset the other.
"Oh well, if that's it- then be it, have space." AJ tongue was sharp , but when she noticed not a single counter from the Cyan girl she turned to see her friend looking away. She looked hurt..

She sighed out , "Rainbow.. I didn't mean that, you know." The Girl adjusted her hat as the athlete nodded, still feeling stabbed in her heart. Apple Jacks eyes kept on studying her, it wasn't the same confident girl she knew.
She noticed how her body language showed something was wrong.

"Please say something." AJ finally spoke, she started back to her reaching a hand to her dear friend, but Rainbow took a step back . She then cleared her throat, the parking lot was nearly empty and they were still standing in the school yard basically. "I-... I need to go." Rainbow said before walking off, AJ stood there heartbreaking at what just happened. What even happened?

She started to run to the girl, "Rainbow Wait, we need to talk." The blonde now watched the girl on her motorcycle. "There's nothing to talk about."

"But there is." The blonde retorted before Looking around. They were the only two left at the school. "I shouldn't have said what I did earlier, I shouldn't be acting this way- you're clearly upset and I'm making it worse." AJ stated "Please tell me what's wrong."

Rainbow looked at her. Her magenta eyes studying the girls' face, "Hop on." Is all she said then gestured, grabbing the extra helmet. Apple Jack obliged just because she wanted to understand what was wrong.Also her brotjer had the truck and she walked to school this morning, But  She wanted to help her dear friend. She felt the need to make sure Rainbow was happy again.

In all honesty , Rainbow didn't want to talk about it. Yes her dad was cruel to her at times and then also he just took out certain angers in her till her mother stepped in to make him leave or threatened to bring in the police.

She decided that she would just take AJ to where she's been chilling for the past few days. Or just for a ride to clear Their or more like Her mind.

She started the bike letting the girl climb on to the bike, and she knew AJ looked slightly upset, well to her she thought the girl deserved it but deep down she didn't. She knew AJ also had hard time to, but Thier situations were different.

AJ had to take care of a farm and her Granny with her little sister. While her brother helped but he had other jobs too.

Then there was Rainbow, she suffered from her dads anger and the stress of Grades to just stay in sports because her father wanted her to be the successful one since Derpy her adopted sister, was basically blind and well Rainbow had tried to watch her back to due to her sister always getting bullied, just to end up in fights and sent home.

She felt the Blondes' arms wrapped around her and that's when she took off.
