"Ivaaan!"

Alfred continued to whine and pout as he followed Ivan to the living room, yet Ivan wouldn't budge. He eventually gave up, and sighed loudly as he collapsed onto the couch with an unimpressed look on his face.

Ivan chuckles, sitting down next to him with a soft 'oof'. He turns his head to Alfred, a small but smug smirk growing on his face.

"Little~ Amerikan~"

Ivan taunts, his voice taking on a sing-song like note. He can't hide the amusement shining in his grin. Alfred's eyes narrow in a playful glare, pretending to seeth.

"I. Am. Not. Little."

"So very small~"

"Am. NOT!"

"Just the smallest, da?"

"That's it, COME HERE!"

Alfred yells, tackling Ivan in a hug. They let out joyous laughs as the roll around, eventually ending up on the floor. Alfred tries to slap a hand on Ivan's mouth, only for Ivan to lick him. In response, Alfred wipes his hand back on Ivans face. Ivans look of pure disgust, going crossed eyed trying to look at where he wiped, had Alfred breaking into a bigger fit of laughter.

Within a few minutes, they both tired, with Alfred on top of Ivan with his hands on either side of Ivan's head. Breathing heavily, Alfred gasped out,

"Not so tough now, are you huh?"

Ivan chuckles, if slightly choked up. Alfred notices now just how close their faces are to touching, how their breaths manage to intermingle. Alfred thinks he stops knowing how to think, how to move. He can only stare at Ivan, their eyes meeting. He gets lost in the hues, the scents, the touch. He can feel their faces leaning closer, and closer, until-

"Hey dad, who's this?"

They startle, their little bubble of non-awareness shattering instantly. Frozen, and now keenly aware just how close his everything is to Ivan, he slowly picks his head up and instantly deadpans.

"Seriously Hawaii? I have a door, you know."

He gives his daughter a glare, despite it not doing much due to the fire he can feel crawling up his neck. His face must be blood red. He's almost hesitant to look down and see Ivan's reaction.

If he did look down, he wouldn't be disappointed. Ivans face is just as red, if not more, and he's fully buried in his scarf. He's currently trying to ignore the very gay thoughts running through his mind, while also preferring if Alfred smothered him to death with those massive thighs.

Sorry, did I say trying to ignore his very gay thoughts? My bad, he's just terrible at it.

Hawaii gives her father an unimpressed stare, looking at their current position which, mind you, they still haven't moved from.

"Uh huh, sure. I wouldn't have taken the window if I had known you were busy doing gay sh-"

Alfred quickly scrambles off of Ivan, pointedly murmuring soft apologies, as he slams a hand over his daughters mouth. He gives her a withering glare, and she wisely shuts her mouth.

Alfred sighs, turning around as he hears Ivan rise from the floor. The lower half of Ivan's face is still covered by his scarf, which irks Alfred, but he smiles at him nonetheless.

"Ivan, this is my daughter, Hawaii. She was the last state to be added to the union."

Alfred introduced nervously, Ivan nodding at her in acknowledgement. She gives a sly grin back, her eyes glinting something dangerous.

"So, your the one dads been raging about huh?"

Ivan looks slightly confused, muttering the word 'raging?' under his breath.

"Well, here's to hoping you don't fuck it up again. We'll be watching you, mind."

Hawaii threatens, if mildly. She still gets her point across, and Ivan nods stiffly. Her shoulders relaxing, she makes her way over to an open window. Nodding at her father, she says,

"Good to see you again dad, hope to see you again soon."

And with that, she hops out of the apartment. A beautiful act of defenestration, if I say so myself.

And thus, she leaves behind two very befuddled and confused nations, one more so than the other.

"Is she... Always like that?"

Ivan askes slowly, still staring at the windowsill that now sports shoe marks.
Alfred nods, exasperated. He drags a hand down his face, then turns to Ivan hesitantly with an apologetic look on his face.

"Hey Ivan.. I'm uh, sorry about earlier. Didn't mean to make you fall so hard for me, heh."

It was meant as a joke, but judging by the way Ivan's face gathers a warm glow, Alfred can tell he didn't take it as such. And with the way he hides his face in his scarf for the third time that day, he can tell it won't be the last.

A spark of hope starts to smoke in his heart.

Maybe, just maybe... Alfred had a chance.

Heyooo! Again, short chapter, my apologies. Think I'll be sticking to 700-800 word chapters again, as it's easier on me. Anyways, I finally know how ill end this story, as mostly I've been pulling ideas out of my ass. Dw, it's not anytime soon, but I know what to do now. Anyhow, hope you enjoyed, Goeiemorê, middag, aand of nag!
