You and Jesse had traveled deeper into the many hallways of Soren's base, Reuben trailing behind you, but after what felt like forever there was no sign of the library you know you're supposed to meet Ivor in.

Jesse sighed, and Reuben made a similar sound in response. "What are we even looking for here? And how are we supposed to find the others in this maze..."

You nodded, your eyes narrowing as you tried to remember anything about his arc. It was just the same chiseled stones walls wherever you went, with the occasional sconce or hole in the floor to break up the dull scenery.

   Wait...

"We could try going down. We haven't found a staircase yet, but we know that there's hallways just under us." You gestured to one of the many holes in the ground. All of them looked eerily similar, as if you'd past them many times, but you trusted your sense of direction.

Jesse looked at you skeptically, unsure if he wanted to trust a hold that he couldn't see the bottom of. However, he was just as antsy to find something other than more stone carvings too. "I guess we could give it a shot... should I drop the torch down that one?"

You looked over to where Jesse was pointed and nodded. He'd taken the lead a little while ago after you'd walked into another cobweb and told him to make use of his head for once. "Go for it."

Jesse knelt down by the hole, hesitant to go drop your only source of light in a place you may not be able to reach. Seeing this you took out another torch and lit it, dropping it down as he looked at you like you were evil.

   "You had another one?!"

"I normally keep at least half a stack on me. I only had eight or so left after mining for the redstone we needed for Endercon though, and I only have four now. So we have to use them sparingly." Annoyingly, unlike in the game, torches burnt out after a while. You still had your infinite pocket though, so you weren't too upset.

Jesse gave you a look but didn't say anything as he peered back into the hole. "It doesn't look too deep. I'll jump down first and tell you if it's safe."

You nodded, taking a seat with your feet dangling in beside him as he jumped. You looked down where Jesse had fallen, and seeing him not freak out you followed after him.

"I thought I told you to wait." He offered you a hand, a joking smile on his face.

"Well, you surely don't seem surprised." You dusted yourself off, the ground being covered in a layer of dirt.

You help up your torch, looking around and seeing another light up around a corner. "Jesse, look." You began walking towards it, and as you saw the glowstone lining the entryway you knew you were right to jump down to the lower level.

As the tow of you walked closer to the doorway, you could see the bookshelves lining the room. "You must have a second sense... I didn't think we'd find anything here after all the searching we did."

You didn't reply, a yell interrupting you. From the library, Ivor came running out, locking eyes with you and Jesse. "Even more of you?!"

"Stop it right there!" Jesse yelled, drawing hos sword as Ivor fumbled with the bag you knew his potions were in.

"Stop it, shmop it!" Ivor replied, sounding like a grouchy toddler. "This stupid clasp..."

"Witch-man, drop the bag of I'll shoot!" You pulled out the bow Lukas had given you while you were rebuilding the temple. Your sick days watching Law and Order had finally come in handy.
