Jabari had to be the most spoiled baby in all of Denver because of Aaron, I was sure of it. Ever since we brought him home with us a little under a week ago, Aaron hasn't had a day where he hasn't taken him out shopping, playing, and showing him new things.

But mostly shopping, Aaron loved turning JD into a mini him.

Already he's been to the zoo, the aquarium, an art museum and so many other places. Aaron calls these family days for us and says it a good time for us all to bond and create memories. I think he just wants to parade the baby around with him to show him off to the world and that's fine with me. He's taken to Jabari so well and I see their bond getting stronger with every day that passes.

Every other word out of his mouth is "my son" and I couldn't be more over the moon that he's proud to call him that even though he wasn't his son by blood. Of course on his birth certificate his last name is Gordon. I didn't mind since I had no connection to my last name.

My mind did wander to the empty space on his new birth certificate. Under father I left it blank. I wanted to put Aaron's name but, I didn't know if it would be right since biologically, he isn't his. What if he grows up one day and asks me? Would I lie to my own son?

I couldn't think about this now.

The playtimes and outings I wasn't really worried about, I personally thought memory making was money well spent. Paparazzi was catching us left and right, I wanted to see what the headlines were, but I knew it would only upset me. Aaron knew too, and he didn't look either. We decided we were going to keep our peace as a new family.

It was all the shopping Aaron did that really concerned me. I knew we wouldn't be going broke anytime soon, of course, but I had to tell him to please slow down. Only because the nursery we designed for Jabari Drew simply was not big enough for all of his new things his daddy was buying him everyday. He was running out of room faster than he was growing.

I was in the kitchen cooking salmon and steak for dinner when I heard the front door unlock. I quickly wiped my hands on a dishtowel and put a lid over the pots that were cooking. Aaron walked in holding Jabari in his arms. They were both smiling ear to ear an Jabari had a new toy dinosaur in his hand and Aaron had bags from the Nike store and Zara in his hands.

I frowned a little bit. "I hope those bags are new clothes for you." I said cautiously walking over and giving both of my boys a big kiss.

Aaron tucked his lips in his mouth, looking down at me mischievously. He shrugged his shoulders a little bit and avoided eye contact with me. "There's things for both of us in here, right Jabari?" I looked at my baby and he nodded his head and giggled. I gave him another quick kiss on the head, my baby is so cute. I leaned into Aaron, pretending to go and kiss him again before snatching the bags from him and putting them on the kitchen counter.

"Baby I told you to stop buying him sneakers." I whined as I went through the Nike bags.

"A few more pairs for him won't hurt?" He said giving me puppy eyes. "My son deserves them." He threw Jabari into the air slightly to where Jabari then laughed at the playfulness of him catching air.

I dug through the bag some more and found clothes that would prepare him for the colder months that would approach soon. Sweaters, jackets, thick pants. I wasn't too mad at that, he was being prepared.

"I guess he'll need this for when it gets cold in a couple months." I said while shooting my boyfriend a look.

"He needs the shoes too. Say 'thats right mommy.'" Aaron encouraged our son.
