Chapter 11

JISUNG

As I sit in the SUV on the way over to the house, I can't help but feel a wave of anxiety wash over me. The guys have always had my back since the very beginning, ever since the day we met. When they heard my story, they wanted to help me find justice. We all come from similar backgrounds, all orphans, in our own ways. We only have each other. The fact that I have to now convince them to openly trust a complete group of strangers.. not only that but a mafia group, no less.  Is going to prove extremely difficult. I can only hope that they take my word for it and trust that I know what im doing.

Hyunjin and I arrive at our shared house, as we both confirm the plan of action. Knowing full well that Felix is not going to take this well. Though he is small, he is a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to the people he loves and cares about. Ever since I've known Felix, he has always been the same. When we met at the self-defense class, everyone always underestimated him because of his smaller stature and the fact that he literally embodied sunshine itself. He always felt as though he had a point to prove, much like myself. I think that's why we immediately bonded. We understood how it felt to feel small and inferior to others, to always be overlooked. Now, doing what we do, we get to prove to not only our enemies but ourselves how strong we truly are.

"Right, so you promise you will wait outside until I say you can come in?" I say as I turn to face Hyunjin in the front seat of the SUV.

"Sure, whatever" He says back with an unbothered expression.

"I mean it, do not underestimate the power of Felix. He's like a mother hen protecting his chick's, he won't hesitate" I explain.

Hyunjin scoffs and smirks back at me. "But that sounds like a great time to me"

I huff and exit the car. Hyunjin following behind me. As we approach the door, I turn to him. "Please, just.. Stay here"

He nods and leans against the wall.

As I turn the door handle, it's snatched from my grip. There stands a furious yet concerned Felix.

Well, im in the doghouse.

"WHERE ON EARTH HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Felix stands before me, checking me over to make sure I'm uninjured.

"Felix, please. I will explain everything, but you have to calm down, its been a hell of a day" I say as I guide him to sit on the sofa.

I turn to Jeongin and Seungmin, too. "Guys, take a seat"

They all look at me in anticipation.

"Hyung, what's wrong? Where did you go? We were so worried about you" Jeongin says with tears pooling in his eyes.

"Hey, don't cry. It's okay, I am okay. I promise" I exhale and begin to explain.  "So, you know the guy from the roof the other night? The one who was at the ball?" They all nod their heads in unison. "Well, he had 2 of his gang members bring me to him for questioning. They took me, quite forcefully actually from the bathroom in the cafè"

"Did they hurt you? I swear if they hurt you- " Seungmin seethed with evident fury.

"No, no. They didn't hurt me. I mean, sure, they took me and tied my hands and feet and took my daggers from me. Blindfolded me, took me into a strange house, and into a weirdly clean basement torture room.."

All of them stare at me with wide eyes and mouths agape.

"But no, they didn't hurt me. Their leader actually asked me which mafia I was part of, the audacity. He wanted to know what I was doing with that piece of shit at the ball. I didn't tell him a thing, just that I was looking for answers. He put forward a proposition for us.."

"And what pray tell, does this mysterious mafia leader have to proposition to us?" Felix says, his face twisted in disgust.

"He wants us to help them on their next mission"

"Which is?" Seungmin asks.

"He wants us to be a distraction at this club his dad owns" I say looking at my hands in my lap.

"What kind of club?" Felix says.

"A gay club..." I say sheepishly.

Felix narrows his eyes at me, as if in deep thought. "And who are we distracting exactly? And why us?"

"Because.. he said.. we give off.. bottom vibes.." My voice trailing off to a whisper.

"HE SAID WHAT?!" Felix shouts.

"Also, one of his gang members is here to take us all to their base to discuss the mission, and we are to stay there tonight as the mission is tomorrow.."

"Huh?!" Seungmin and Jeongin exclaim simultaneously.

"Guys, he said he would help me find who I'm looking for and find the answers I'm looking for if we help them.. please just consider it for a second. It won't be hard at all, we can do this one thing and all our hard work will be rewarded, they have access to alot better facilities than us" I plead with them.

"And we are just supposed to take his word for it? We don't even know who this guy is!" Seungmin says.

"Minnie, i know. I cant explain it to you because I don't know why, but I trust that he will keep his word"

"He better" He responds.

"So where is this so called gang member?" Felix says as he stands his hands on his hips.

Uh oh.

"Hyunjin" I shout. "You can come in now"

Hyunjin opens the door and enters the room. Everyone's eyes wide.. I look at Felix, his eyes wide and jaw virtually on the floor.

"YOU!" He shouts.

"Hello, little fairy" He says, smirking.

"This bitch?!" Felix turns to me, pointing at Hyunjin.

"Yes.." I say apologetically.

Before I can say anything further, Felix struts over to Hyunjin and slaps him across the face. "That's for kidnapping and manhandling my friend!"

Hyunjin stands there completely unphased, however starts laughing.

"Cute" He says.

Felix turns a crimson red and stomps back towards the sofa.

"He isnt going to leave until we go with him is he?" Felix turns to me, rolling his eyes.

"Unfortunately not, boss's orders cutie" Hyunjin replies with a wink.

"So what do you guys think?" I ask the group before me.

Jeongin shrugs. "I guess.. if this will help you. We have no other choice but to agree, we are a family"

Seungmin sighs "I agree"

"Fine, but im going to be having words with this boss" Felix states.

"Thank you guys, I really am so very grateful to you all" I say lovingly to my amazing group of friends, who are not only understanding, caring and kind. But would do absolutely anything to see me happy and I them. They are my family.

"Time to get packing, the boss is expecting us in a meeting within the next hour." Hyunjin announces.

With that we all head through to our rooms to gather our belongings for the next couple of days.

I can only hope that this "mission" goes to plan. How hard could it possibly be?
