AUTHOR'S POV

There was not much of talking or texting going on between Dhaara and him since last night after that incident or we can say she was not replying to any of his messages or calls and of course that what she does whenever she is drowning cause she would rather drown than take help from anyone

It's been an hour since Jai is waiting outside the college but there's no sign of her but soon he sees Kashish exiting the gate and he calls her out "Have you heard from her since yesterday..has she even come today..?" worry evident in his voice

"Yeah she's inside..even though I haven't seen her much today, you didn't drop her this morning?" She reciprocated

" Nah..she left before I could pick her up I guess" he stated to which she nodded

Not being able to wait anymore he went inside looking for her and after checking several classes and halls he got worried upon not finding her anywhere, he went further on the stairs and stopped after seeing lights coming from the auditorium he drew steps closer to the auditorium door when he finally saw her..she was dancing her feet moving on the beats her body in the rhythm, he concealed in a corner and kept watching her every move, her eyes were closed and it looked as if she's not just dancing but setting herself free of whatever that is in her mind and he's lost in her in this moment

' I know she is mine and I am hers but at this moment I'm realising that she's my destiny & solace and whatever comes in her way to break the rhythm of life..i would gladly burn it to ashes' he made a silent promise to himself but soon came out of his trance and moved out of the auditorium without being noticed and came back to his car waiting for her to arrive any minute now and after a few minutes saw her coming towards the exit when he waved her and she gave a soft smile before walking towards him

" Will you please drive around a bit... I'm in no mood of going home today" she asked softly and he nodded

" How're you holding up?" He asked

" I'm fine" she lied plainly

" I'm asking the truth, you're not answering my calls or messages...stop being so stuck up on keeping it all locked up inside you..so stop fighting all of that alone, now it's not you alone, it's US TOGETHER" he stated clearly yet softly being frustrated and hurt seeing her this way

" What do you wanna listen huh!?...yes I'm not okay after what happened yesterday and it's taking time for me to get settled to all this..i seriously can't believe till now how come you are so... YOU" she fumed

"Heyy...heyy shhhh, it's just us now you can talk, open up..there are no people, sirf hum hain yaha" he assured her carefully moving close to her

"I've been on my own from the time I've come to my senses of what's right or wrong... it's difficult for me to open up...and relying on someone is the biggest nightmare" her whisper was barely audible but Jai heard it, how could he not.... even in a million of sounds he would hear her voice

" Please let me hug you?" he pleaded his voice quivering and she gave him one of the most brief stares as if fighting between her own mind and heart but after all the love, care, affection and respect he has shown her she couldn't control herself anymore and in a blink of an eye embraces him in a tight hug ...and with each passing second she kept tugging more and more tightly onto the him as if this is just a dream and would end any minute now telling that how much she's been deprived of it and need it

"I'm here..right here for you, it's just uss... take however time you want but know one thing you are never alone from now on" he whispered with the most calmness and patience while his hot breath fanning her ear erupting goosebumps all-over her body and realising that this is the closest they've ever been physically.
