"What the fuck is on your neck?" Divya screamed and then covered her mouth, looking at Advika from the mirror, who just rolled her eyes at her antics.
"Isko pyaar se hickey bolte hai aur kuch jaanna hai aapko" ("This is lovingly called a hickey. Do you want to know anything else?") she said while giving her a sarcastic smile. Divya threw a pillow at Advika, who dodged it and stuck out her tongue.
Divya: "But hey, on a serious note, is it my soon-to-be jiju?" she said, wiggling her eyebrows teasingly.
Advika irritably looked at her, who was lying on her stomach while swinging her legs left to right, giving her an innocent look.
Advika: "No, my ex was the one." She said while giving a tight smile. Divya just rolled her eyes.
Divya: "I dare you to say the same thing in front of jiju. I am damn sure he fuc—"
Advika: "Cheeeee....kitni gandi hai tu and don't call him jiju. Over here I am thinking to break the marriage and you..gadhi." (Eww... you are so dirty-minded, and don't call him jiju. Here I am thinking of breaking the marriage and you... donkey.)
Divya: "Ok, jokes apart, at least give him a chance bro. I am damn sure he is the one for you."
Advika: "I am scared that he is marrying just to take revenge." She said while pouting.
Divya: "I don't think so."
Later in the evening.
Advika: "Should I talk to him?" she thought while staring at the ceiling intently. "NO...how can I after what happened in that changing room?" She let out an annoyed sigh and threw the pillow from the bed, which landed directly in her mother's hands, who was watching her, or more like glaring at her.
Saanvi: "I guess you have done a PhD in 'I won't ever listen to my mom.' Since when have I been calling you?"Listening to her mother, she got up and sat with folded legs.
Advika: "I-I didn't hear you."
Saanvi: "Is everything okay? Did something happen between Akhil and you? You have been quiet since coming back from shopping."
Advika looked at her mom with her wide doe eyes, like she had seen a monster. "Are wahh meri maa meri kitni care karti hai hayee nazar na lage," (Wow, my mother cares so much for me) she thought while looking at her lovingly.
Saanvi: "Haye, you didn't do anything to him, right? I know you ki teri ladko se itni banti hai nahi par phir bhi Akhil jaise masoom bache ko taang mat kariyo nahi to mujhse bura koi nahi hoga." (Haye, you didn't do anything to him, right? I know you don't get along with boys well, but still, don't bother a sweet boy like Akhil. Otherwise, no one will be worse than me.)
Her smile dropped from her face after listening to her mom.
Advika: "Masssuuum BaCHaaa" (Sweet boy) she said sarcastically. "Aapko pata nahi ki ye masoom bacha kitni phauchi hu cheez hai." (You don't know how cunning he is) she whispered quietly.
Saanvi: "You said something?"
Advika: "NO."
Saanvi: "Oh no, I forgot to tell you, we have to go to their house tomorrow to fix the marriage date, and they have also invited us for dinner. So be ready on time and come home early from the office. We'll be leaving at 4, okay?"
Advika: "Haaji mamma." (Yes, mamma)
"Hmm," saying that her mom left her room. With a loud sigh, Advika fell on her bed. "Like I have a choice."
"But tomorrow, how am I going to face him? I haven't done anything. He should be the one to feel awkward and ashamed."
"Yes, right, Advika, now I will show him who this Advika Bakshi is."
She felt ticklish when buddy licked her foot.
"Ohh my baby I forgoted about you becoz of that sadu hulk dont worry mumma will teach him a good lesson ok?"
To which buddy barked.
"shhh..bark slowly if maa comes to know about you then we both will become homeless"Buddy barked slowly like he understood what his mumma is talking about.
