Advika’s heart raced as Akhil’s hot breath fanned her face. His closeness, the intense way he looked at her, left her speechless. She felt the heat creeping up her neck, but her defiant side couldn’t let him win that easily.
"Mr. Akhil, put me down!" Advika snapped, though her voice wavered slightly.
Akhil smirked, enjoying her feisty reaction. "I think we’ve already established who gives the orders here, haven’t we?" His voice was a low, dangerous purr, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes.
Advika's cheeks puffed up in frustration. "Agar mujhe neche nahi rakha, toh main sach mein maar dungi!" (If you don’t put me down, I’ll really hit you!)
He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And how do you plan to do that, wildflower?"
Before she could respond, the door burst open, and Rhea entered without knocking, holding a folder. Her eyes widened when she saw the scene in front of her—Advika pinned against the table, Akhil towering over her.
Rhea cleared her throat awkwardly. "I... uh... I’ll come back later," she muttered, backing away.
Advika’s face turned crimson as she glared at Akhil. "Move!" She gave him a light push.
Akhil sighed, stepping back slightly, though his smirk never left his face. "Next time, knock," he called out to Rhea, who was already out the door.
Advika hopped off the table, fixing her clothes. "This is all your fault!" she huffed, crossing her arms.
Akhil leaned casually against the desk. "I don’t mind being blamed, Ms. Bakshi."
Her jaw dropped. "Ugh! You’re impossible!"
"I have high expectations from my PA, so make sure you are on time, Ms. Bakshi." He emphasized the word 'PA,' making her more annoyed.
"Mr. Agarwal, I’ll make sure that you’re the one who backs out of this marriage and also fires me as your PA," Advika shot back.
Akhil chuckled darkly. "Challenge?" He took a step closer to her, but this time Advika didn’t move. Seeing her defiance, a smirk crept onto his face. "I like challenges. It’ll be fun playing with you," he whispered in her ear, making her take a sharp, long breath.
As she turned and walked out, her heart pounded in her chest. His presence always left her in a whirlwind of emotions—anger, fear, and something she refused to name. She couldn’t understand why she was drawn to him, even when he infuriated her the most.

During lunch break
Advika left the office after completing her pending work. She decided to have lunch with Divya and was waiting for her bestie, who was late.
"Yaar, kidhar mar gayi ye aurat, mujhe bhook lagi hai!" (Where has this woman disappeared? I’m starving!) Advika whined and rested her head on the table.
"Mar gayi ky?" (Are you dead?) She heard the sarcastic voice of the one she was expecting.
"Abhi tak toh nahi. Tu bata, kidhar tapak gayi thi? Kal raat se call kar rahi thi, uthaya bhi nahi, na koi message ka reply. Aur direct lunch ke liye invitation. Na koi hi, na bye, kuch manners naam ki cheez hai ya nahi, behen? Tujhe pata hai kitni tension ho rahi thi mujhe, pagal aurat!" (Not dead yet. Where were you? I’ve been calling you since last night, no answer, no reply to messages. And then you send a lunch invitation, no ‘hi,’ no ‘bye.’ Do you have any manners, sister? You know how worried I was, you crazy woman!)
"Hogaya? Pani pee le." (Finished? Now drink some water.) Divya slid a glass towards her while glaring.
"Ab sun. Mujhe kuch office work se jaana pada tha, aur range bhi nahi thi. Isliye call aur message nahi kar payi. I just arrived at 11 in the morning, so I thought to call you for lunch. Happy?" (Now listen. I had to go for some office work, and there was no network. That’s why I couldn’t call or message. I just arrived at 11 in the morning, so I thought to call you for lunch. Happy?)
Listening to this, Advika nodded her head and muttered, "Yep."
Divya: "Order karein?" (Shall we order?)
Advika: "Of course, bhai!"Divya: "Acha, bata kya kya hua aaj office mein? I’m damn sure kuch toh hua hoga. Isiliye itna sadi hui shakal bana rakhi thi." (So, tell me what happened in the office today? I’m sure something happened, that’s why you were sulking so much.)
Advika: "Is sadi hui shakal ka reason bhi na woh sadu hulk hi hai. Tujhe pata hai…" (The reason for this sulking face is that grumpy Hulk. Do you know…?)And like that, she narrated the entire incident to Divya, who listened patiently without any interruptions like a good friend.
Divya: "Bhai, tu kyu jiju ke gale padi hai? Maan ja na, he’s no harm."
(Girl, why are you after jiju’s neck? Admit it, he’s no harm.)Advika: "Arey, main thodi unke gale padi hoon. Balki woh khud mere gale par latke hue hain! And he accepted the challenge. He is full of himself, itna confidence! Ab toh bhai, ye izzat ka sawal hai!"
(Hey, I’m not after him; it’s the other way around! He’s so overconfident! Now, it’s a matter of pride.)Divya: "You were the one to challenge him, Aadu."
Advika retorted,
"T-toh kya? He should have not accepted it with this much confidence!" She muttered softly while taking a sip of her drink, staring at Divya with puppy eyes. She continued, "Ab meri help kar de us challenge ko complete karne mein, please. Teri dost ka izzat ka sawal hai!"
(Now help me complete this challenge, please. It’s a matter of your friend’s pride!)Divya just shook her head and replied, "Just irritate him."

Later that evening
Advika sat on her bed, cuddling Buddy. She stroked his soft fur, trying to calm her racing thoughts. "Why does he always get under my skin, Buddy? And now this PA thing—what does he even want from me?" she muttered, her frustration evident.
Buddy looked up at her with innocent eyes, and she sighed. "At least you’re on my side."
Her phone buzzed with a new message.
"Don’t be late tomorrow, Ms. Bakshi. I have high expectations from my new PA."Advika groaned, throwing her phone onto the bed. "Why can’t he just leave me alone for five minutes?"

Next morning
Standing outside the company, Advika looked at the building with a mischievous smirk. She entered inside the company, and Rhea greeted her with a bright smile, standing outside her cabin with a box in her hand.
Advika greeted her back. "I’m sorry because of me you’re getting shifted to another department."
Rhea responded with a teasing smile, "It’s not your fault. Maybe Mr. Agarwal wants to spend some more time with you."
Advika gasped at her words. "It’s not like what you’re thinking!"
"Oh gosh, you’re blushing! Don’t worry, I won’t tell your little secret to anyone," Rhea laughed, looking at Advika’s expression.
"Ms. Bakshi, I’ve kept today’s schedule on the desk. Before starting your work, make sure to visit sir’s cabin with a black coffee, and he’ll let you know if you need to add more to the schedule or not. Okay?"
Rhea explained, and Advika nodded in agreement.
Rhea took her leave. Advika glanced at the schedule and then at the closed door of Akhil’s office, a mischievous smirk playing on her
"Mr. Akhil Agarwal, chaliye ab aapko Advika ke haath ki special coffee pilayi jaye!"♡TBC♡
