You said, "don't you worry, I'm here to stay"
I knew you were lying but I chose not to say
You said, "I won't dare hurt you, I got no games to play"
I knew you were a master, but my heart learnt to always believe you in a way
Where you painted your black white, I accepted your grey
And decided to lay by your side like a suicidal prey

You gave up hunting with a cruel scene
When you were injecting me your virus, I begged for no single drop of vaccine
The day you entered the room with her guilt clean
The lines you never wrote about us were extremely keen
But the look I saw on you when she laughed was everything in between
The nights I cried myself to deny sleeping without you turned into a routine
Followed by countless mornings checking my messages on seen

I used to brag about who I was a fool to think you would always remain
I regret everything but never regretted the taste of pain
I owe you some art and a will finally returned free
You owe me what karma is eager to repay
Now and then I think to myself why have I lowered my standards for a statue made of clay
You go back to your pity animality that's submitted to any stray
And I go back to train my amygdala to never obey
We're never the same although you really thought we were
But there you bark, here I fly away
Where you deceive and betray, I keep my promises as flawless as a blue jay
A brown sheep that I touched on purpose for my piece of art to decay
But who is the real you to understand or to display?
You dream of being an artist, while in reality you're a cheap portrait
I painted you when my inspiration needed a disease to cosplay
