As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, Anantara Kutir glowed with the soft light of thousands of fairy lights and the vibrant colors of fresh flowers. The courtyard, draped in marigold garlands, was filled with the sound of laughter and conversation. The family had insisted on handling the decorations themselves, a labor of love for Adhiraj's engagement, making the small ceremony all the more intimate and special.
Nandini paced around the living room, phone in hand, issuing stern warnings to the media houses. "Listen, not a single photo leaks, or you'll regret it. This is a private family event, and we want it to stay that way. If I find even a blurry image from the event, I'll personally burn down your media house," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Shivaay and Digvijay, meanwhile, were busy welcoming the few family members and political figures who had been invited. Each guest was greeted warmly, their presence adding to the familial atmosphere of the event. The air buzzed with anticipation and excitement.
Tripti was near the altar, speaking with Guruji. They were discussing the final preparations for the evening's ceremonies. Guruji, with his serene smile, reassured her that everything was in place.
"It's time, Tripti ji. Please call Adhiraj and Annahita downstairs," Guruji said, his voice calm yet authoritative.
Tripti nodded and turned to Nandini and Adhvita, instructing them to fetch the couple. She then moved to the center of the courtyard, ensuring every detail was perfect for the upcoming engagement and the small puja that would follow.
I was adorned in a beautiful red saree gifted to me by Dhriti aunty. I was going to wear a simple baby pink saree because it was a small ceremony, but when she asked me if I would like to wear the saree she gifted to me, I couldn't refuse. Not because it would be impolite to refuse our elder, but the real reason was I couldn't take my eyes off the beautiful saree. The red saree with a beautiful veil took my breath away, and I immediately agreed. The look in her eyes after I accepted her gift was something precious.
