Author's POV

In the Kutir, only the family members were present. Nandini sat on the couch, looking bored. She sighed and said to her mother, "Maa, kya boring-boring lag raha hai, koi function aaj bhi rakh lete." ("Maa, it's so boring, we should have had a function today as well.")

Tripti looked at her daughter and replied, "Ab tere liye koi new function create kar du main?" ("Should I create a new function just for you?")

Nandini pouted and rested her head on Dhriti's lap, saying, "Sangeet baaki hai na, Maa? Dance kar lenge sab." ("The Sangeet is still left, right, Maa? Everyone can dance.")

Dhriti smiled gently as she ran her fingers through Nandini's hair. "Tum log thake nahi kya dance karke kal?" she asked softly. ("Aren't you all tired after dancing yesterday?")

Nandini shook her head slightly, a playful smile on her face. "Shaadi-byaah ke ghar koi dance karke thakta hai kya?" ("Who gets tired of dancing at a wedding?")

Tripti interjected, "Humare yaha sangeet nahi hota hai. Ye toh bollywood waalon ki den hai bas." ("We don't have the Sangeet ceremony in our tradition. This is just a Bollywood thing.")

"Aisa toh kuch nahi hai Maa, bohot jagah hota hai ye function. Hum bhi karte hain na, bass family members honge," Nandini argued with a determined look. ("It's not like that, Maa. This function happens in many places. We can do it too, just with family members.")

After a long debate between Tripti and Nandini, Tripti finally relented and said, "Jo karna hai karo." ("Do whatever you want.")

Nandini beamed at her victory and quickly dialed the number of the head servant, instructing him to arrange the function and decorate the hall in Shivaay's wing. After ending the call, she turned to Dhriti with a mischievous smile and said, "Aap toh itni sweet ho, aapka beta kyun itna akdu hai?" ("You are so sweet, why is your son so grumpy?")

Dhriti smiled warmly at Nandini's playful remark and replied, "Tumhe toh pata hai bachhe, vo kyun aisa hai." ("You know, child, why he is like that.")

Nandini's expression softened, and she pouted slightly before saying, "Chaliye ye sab chhodiye, shaam mein masti karenge. Abhi main dekh ke aati hu arrangements." ("Let's forget about all this. We'll have fun in the evening. I'll go check on the arrangements now.")
