Zero's glare sent shivers down everyone's spine, but not Mia's. "After tonight, I'm leaving the village and not coming back. I won't be this village's protector anymore. You all hurt my friends."

"The ANBU will just hunt you down, Zero!" Mia yelled. Zero jumped down from the building he was standing on and landed in front of Boruto. He gave Y/n to him and looked at the others. Mia blinked and looked at Zero, confused, 'd-did he just ignored me!?' She thought.

"You guys should leave here, you should keep going till the trees become less dense. You don't need to worry about me, I'll catch up in no time." Zero gave them a smile. Boruto looked at the villagers, looked at y/n and then looked back at him.

"I don't think i-" Shikadai got interrupted by Boruto.

"Fine, but you better not make us wait." Shikadai looked at him confused but sighed and decided not to fight it. The others picked up the wounded and Y/n looked at Zero.

"You better be careful." After she said that everyone started to jump on the rooftops and make their way out of the village. Zero turned towards the villagers and gave them a look with no emotion.

The building that was aflame exploded, which made a huge gust of wind blow against everyone. Over 20 ANBUs stood in front of the villagers, ready to protect them. Zero tries to sense his friends' chakra to see if they're still close, but to his luck, they're far away enough. He crouched down and placed his hands on the ground. The ANBU brace themselves.

"Should this place reek of death or ashes?" Zero mumbled to himself before sighing. "Water release: Stormy blockade." A large amount of water fell from the sky and landed harshly on everyone. Some of the villagers' bodies snapped because of the pressure of the water, some drowned immediately because they didn't catch their breath in time. He sighed again as he looked at the chaos in front of him. "Water prison" the water that surrounded everyone has now taken the shape of a sphere and imprisoned everyone in it. He made sure to put a lot of pressure just so their bodies could be crushed.

Zero walked past other imprisoned villagers and ninjas to get to Mia.

"Mia... You were my friend for a long time, my only friend for a long time. The fact that you tried to kill my other friends using the sacred fire from the archives is unforgivable." Mia tries to talk but she only loses some air. Zero looked at her with betrayal in his eyes.

"You can see that I'm stronger, right?" One by one someone drowns in their prison. Zero forced a smile on his face.

"My plan was to leave the village peacefully, but... I guess you changed that, huh?" Mia starts to panic when she sees him bring his arm up. This caused her to lose some air again. He put his hand into his hair and grip it, the pain in his eyes explains everything of what he's feeling right now.

"This hurts me more than it hurts you." Zero sighed the third time. "I'll leave it to you ok? If you want to live or die. I'll leave and once I'm far enough the jutsu will stop. That's how long you have to hold your breath." He looked around and saw that the majority of everyone had died. "I'm going to go now, so I'll see you later but if not, then... goodbye" Mia starts to make a lot of noise to get his attention but he ignores her and starts to walk out of the village.

A few moments later Zero finally put some distance between him and the village, but he stopped abruptly. Yuta looked up at him in confusion. "Zero?" As soon as he said his name, he dropped down to his knees and put his hands on his face. Yuta climbed out of the bag and stood in front of him. "Zero?" He said his name again but more worriedly. "Are you o-"
