"Hey, what class do we have next?" Sam asked as she, Fin, Andromeda, and Narcissa descended the stairs back into the common room. They were still settling into the strange new reality of being at Hogwarts in a past era, so class schedules weren't quite second nature yet.

Andromeda glanced at her watch, then back at Sam. "Potions. I hope you're good with Slughorn—he can be... a bit much sometimes, especially if he thinks you're talented."

"Yeah, Potions can be a nightmare if he's in one of his moods," Narcissa added, rolling her eyes with a small smirk. "But I have a feeling you two will manage just fine."

Fin laughed. "Oh, Potions is no problem... usually." She shot a quick look at Sam, who raised her eyebrows in mock innocence. "Unless someone—cough—adds a 'mystery' ingredient," she teased, nudging her friend.

"Hey, that was an accident!" Sam retorted, crossing her arms but grinning. "Besides, Harry did something to our potion."

The four girls made their way down the winding stone corridors, reaching the dungeons just as Slughorn began gathering ingredients at the front of the classroom. Sam and Fin took a moment to admire the younger Slughorn—they were used to seeing a more aged professor back in their own time, and seeing him this way felt surreal. They slipped into seats, earning a few curious glances from the rest of the students, who were still buzzing with gossip about the "future girls."

As they sat, Sirius Black sauntered past, followed by James, Remus, and Peter. He paused briefly, flashing the girls his trademark grin, his eyes lingering on Sam and Fin.

"So," he drawled, leaning slightly against their table, "you two are the famous time-travelers everyone's talking about. Any tips on how to make the history books?"

"Actually, yeah," Fin replied with a sly smile. "Stop flirting and get better at Potions." The other students chuckled, and even Sirius cracked a wider smile, clearly entertained.

James nudged him. "Come on, Padfoot. We've got our own plans for getting in those books without any potions mishaps."

"Oh, I'm sure you do," Sam replied, smirking back at them as the Marauders moved along to their seats.

Professor Slughorn, noticing the chatter, cleared his throat loudly. "Now, now! Settle down, everyone. Today we're brewing the Swelling Solution," he announced with a gleeful clap. "Very tricky business, so please, everyone, follow directions. And no... unexpected experiments," he added with a knowing look toward Fin and Sam.

The girls exchanged a glance, suppressing laughter.

Fin glanced around, trying to take it all in. Even as they followed the familiar steps of the potion, there was a certain magic in the air. Being here, back in a time they'd only heard about, felt like they were living a piece of history—one they had a chance to change.

"All right," Slughorn said, strolling down the aisle between tables, "let's see who gets this potion perfect first. Remember, patience is key... and no funny business!"
