Fareeha paced in the lobby of the hotel. Chandan ranting in the background. She pushed up the long sleeves of her pastel yellow sweater and checked her watch, then her mobile. Once again, she dialed his number but there was no response. Still, the phone was switched off.
"Sarfaraz has been so irresponsible. The shoot is getting delayed, we have to wrap up..." He went on. Fareeha struggled not to punch him to shut him up.
Finally, she charged to him and admonished him, - "You are worried about the darn shoot, here your main actor is missing. What if, God forbid, something bad has happened to him?"
The cameraman added, - "Shall we go to the police, then?"
Fareeha nodded, clenching her phone with both hands, - "Yes, Avinash."
"No! I don't want any complications. We have to leave—"
"Shut up, Chandan."
Fareeha and Avinash turned to hurry, and just then Sarfaraz appeared strolling in their direction. A dreamy smile on his face and his eyes were dazed. Fareeha let out a breath, placing her hand on her chest. They then hastened towards him.
"Hadi!" She leaped on him. Sarfaraz limped backward at the suddenness.
"Thank God, you are safe." Fareeha wrapped her arms tightly around his neck and clung to him with her feet in the air.
Cautiously, he held her and placed her down.
She grabbed his arms, her eyes searching him to make sure he was okay, - "Since last evening, I was trying your phone, and thinking of all sorts of nonsense." She cried.
Sarfaraz was surprised to see tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Hey, hey." He wiped his tears and pulled her for a hug. Fareeha moved her arms around him, clenching his sweater. He caressed the top of her head, while she buried her face into his chest. Fareeha frowned smelling ladies perfume on him. She leaned back, still holding him, and eyed him suspiciously, - "Where were you?" She spoke thoughtfully.
"Come," His eyes twinkled. Fareeha subconsciously wished to wipe the grin off his face. Here she was worried sick, and this goof was beaming. Sarfaraz excused from everyone and dragged Fareeha by her hand.
In the suite, once Sarfaraz explained the events Fareeha's jaw dropped and eyes widened in shock. Placing her hand over her mouth, she sat at the edge of the bed. Sarfaraz beamed victoriously.
"And, you proposed to her for marriage?"
He nodded and smirked.
"And she said yes?"
He nodded again.
Fareeha gave him a suspicious look, - "Seriously? I think she is a bigger psycho than you."
