Fareeha woke up at dawn and checked Sarfaraz had slipped into her duvet. Cautiously, she moved his arms from over her and stepped down the bed. Swiftly, she changed from her flimsy nightdress into a proper cotton Kurtha trousers.
After prayer, she changed back into the ink-blue satin dress and climbed back on the bed. Sarfaraz stirred in his sleep, laying comfortably on his back. Fareeha propped on her elbow and admired him closely. Hesitatingly, she lightly touched his cheek and glided her fingers over his lips. He turned his face, taking a deep breath. Fareeha smiled, still looking at him with love.
She rested her head on his chest, hugging him with one arm. He rested a hand on her shoulder and continued to sleep unbothered.
