"Idiot, we are getting late." Sarfaraz tried to break the ice. She gulped.

Sarfaraz reached out for the zipper. His fingers brushed against her back, making her bare skin twitch.

Fareeha drew in a breath, her earring slipped from her hand.

He is just zipping your Kurtha, not kissing your back. Don't behave like a chomu, or else this ass will make fun of you.

Her brain rang the alarm. Swiftly, she tried to search for earrings, fumbling through her jewelry box. Sarfaraz stifled his smile.

But no one has seen my bare back before.

Come on, there is nothing unique about your back. Everyone has the same. You are also in the same room when he dresses, right? So?

"Done" He affirmed, hooking the top, then held her shoulder and firmly shook her. "You okay?" He could see the natural rosy tint on her cheeks and nose from this close.

"Yeah, yeah—" She picked the ear-stud back, - "Why won't I? Ass." She snapped, but he felt her body tremor against him. He smirked, taking a step back. Fareeha wore her ear-studs. Sarfaraz kept taking steps backward, observing her do her make-up. Rose pink lip-gloss, kohl, blush.

"What are you staring at?" She frowned at him through the mirror. He shook his head, picking a heavy mirror-embellished dupatta from the bed.

Sarfaraz sighed. Fareeha finished dabbing her perfume and turned to her side. He placed her dupatta in her sea-green suit. She blinked at him.

"Are you sure about Adil?" He looked straight into her eyes. Gently holding her shoulder. Fareeha gulped slowly, feeling her throat restricted by the border of her dupatta. Staring into his eyes, she nodded.

"Seriously serious?"

She nodded again. This time little hesitant.

Sarfaraz smiled a little, taking a step back, and held her hand. Fareeha lowered her head, looked at her palm, and then back at her friend. He pulled the ring from his middle finger and placed it in her hand.

"Then go and propose to him. He is a better option than you being married to someone random, who won't understand our equation."

Puzzled, Fareeha spoke in a small voice, - "But he likes Da—"

Sarfaraz placed a finger on her lips, abruptly pausing her. He blinked softly at her, and she smiled back. He moved his hand behind her and unraveled her hair.

"Dude—what the—" Fareeha, taken aback, attempted to stop them from cascading down, - "Do you realize how time-consuming it was to tie it." She scolded him. Sarfaraz chuckled, playing with her hair, while she tried to snatch them back. He parted her hair, resting one half on her shoulder, - "Adil will go lattoo, for sure." He said with confidence. She blushed harder this time.
