Jannah and jafar were having lunch at the hotel's restaurant, they were having their normal chat and banter.

"I'm surprised you still don't recognise me." Jafar said after he swallowed a spoon full of his food.

"Remember you? But we haven't met before? Have we?" Jannah replied very confused.

"We have, some weeks ago." He was amused at her confusion and lack of recognition.

She on the other hand kept quiet trying to search her brain files for any memory of him. It took some minutes but realisation finally dawned on her.

"Oh my... you're the guy from the park?" She said, well more like asked. There was an amused smile on her face, she was actually shocked, well not really, jafar can be pretty nagging.

"Bingo! Took you forever." He rolled his eyes even though there was a smile on his face. Jannah laughed after he said that, she never thought he was that guy. Maybe she would've recognised him earlier if she looked at him properly at the park. But then again, she did get a flash of recognition when he saved her on the plane.

"Wow, you really are full of surprises jafar." She said and shook her head amusedly.

"Well, what can I say." He replied dusting off imaginary dust of his pants and has this smug expression on his face. "You should've just agreed to be my friend the first time, we would've had so much fun on the plane." He added.

"Yeah right. For all I know you could've been a kidnapper." It was jannah's turn to roll her eyes.

"How sure are you that I'm not?"

"You're way too nice to be a criminal. If you were more like me, I would've agreed." Jannah teased.

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"Yeah yeah. Wait, the other day when you surprised me..."

"Uhm, what about it?" He raised one of his brows in question and also urging her to continue.

"How'd you know I'd come if you use my mom's name."

"I just had a gut feeling, and it worked. So thank God." He let out a small chuckle.

"But what if it didn't work?" She asked genuinely. She still had that smile on her face. She's been like that lately, that's the change jafar brought in her, she smiles and laughs now, a lot. And honestly, she's happy about it.

"Err, I'd still have found a way for it to work. Never give up, yknow?"

"Whatever you say jafar." Right after she said that jafar's phone started ringing. "Excuse me." He said but didn't leave, he picked up there. It was his grandfather's call. He was already wearing his air pods so there was no need connecting them.

"Assalamu Alaikum, good afternoon paa." Jafar said.

"Waalaikumu salam Muhammad jafaru. How're you doing?" Paa said from the other side.

"C'mon paa you need to stop calling me that." He replied and noticed jannah trying to stop herself from laughing. Oh no! He totally forgot that she was wearing the other air pod.

Just kill me. Jafar thought.

"It's your name, kawai ku ne yaran zamani sai kun yi wani posh suna. Jafaru sunan ka. Muhammadu Jafaru."
(It's just you children of this generation that want to have posh names.)Paa replied in that sokoto accent making it harder for jannah toh stop herself from laughing.
