THIRD PERSON'S POV
21:30

Jannah was on a Skype call with jafar. They were talking about everything and nothing. "MJ, do you think mom's going to be okay?" She sighed and rested her face on her palm with her elbow as support.

"Of course she's going to be okay, NJ. Look at her. Doesn't she look at peace?" He tilted his macbook to mom's direction.

She sighed yet again, "She does, I hope she wakes up soon."

Jafar gave her a small smile, "Don't worry, she will. The doctor said she's responding well to the treatment."

"Firdaus, have you seen the TV remote?" Khalil said absent-mindedly as he entered her room.

She turned her swivel chair to face him before rolling her eyes. "Gashi a kai na khalil."

"Would it have been so hard to just say no?" He sighed and face palmed himself. "Oh, who are you talking to?" He asked after noticing the call screen.

"Hello there." Jafar said in reply to khalil's question.

"Ohhh, it's you."

"Yup, how're you doing?" Jafar decided to let go some of the dislike he had towards khalil.

"I'm good, Alhamdulillah jafar. How're you?" Khalil smiled at him.

"Same here." Jafar gave him a small smile back.

"Let me let you two be. Firdaus mana danAllah, where's the remote mana? I know you hid it, kiyi wa Allah ki bani. " Khalil pleaded.

"Kai, take it. Kar ka cinye ni." She threw the remote to him.

"Lailaha Illa llah, what's with you and throwing stuff at me, firdaus?" He complained despite catching the remote effortlessly.

"Quit whining. Has hamdaan woken up?"

"Nah, he's still asleep."

"Please bring him up when he does, okay?"

He chuckled, "Toh maman Hamdaan." Jannah laughed too, but glared at him while doing so. "Weirdo!"

He shook his head with an amused smile and left the room, "Yeah, sure, Mrs. Weirdo."

"It's nice to see you two getting along." Jafar said honestly.

"If you overlook all the stupid things he's done, he's not that bad." Jannah replied, and her reply made jafar laugh.

"You're not nice for real. I'll call you tomorrow, I have to finish up this project."

"Okay then, take care of yourself. Make sure you sleep."

"Aye aye captain. Good night. " He chuckled and hung up.

Jannah decided to go downstairs since she had nothing to do.

"There's my baby." Jannah cooed when she got to the living room. "Don't start feeling special, I'm talking about hamdaan."
"Can't you just let me be delusional, babe?" Khalil replied.

"You know I hate seeing that stupid smile on your face." She feigned seriousness but couldn't hold up the facade for long because of khalil's facial reaction. She had to laugh. "You're crazy wallahi." She said as she carried a now awake hamdaan.

"Hey, sunshine. I know you don't know me, but I'm maama, and this here is your goof of a dad."

"You love that goof."

She scoffed, "You wish!" The sound of the doorbell suddenly came, stopping khalil from replying.

He opted for, "Let me get that." Instead.
