"I knew he was an imbecile the first time I laid eyes on him. I never liked him." Jafar said angrily.

"Yeah, and I'm madly in love with him." I hissed and rolled my eyes.

He huffed, calming himself down, "Look, I know you're angry, but don't vent his anger on me."

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, "I'm sorry, I'm just really pissed."

"It's okay, I get where you're coming from. But for real, how dare he?"

I chuckled bitterly, "He's a child in a man's body, too gullible. Everything about him is frustrating, I could bare his grandmother, okay. But Nahara? Seeing her annoys the shit out of me."

"What's her deal with you anyway? Whatever childhood beef she had with you should be over by now. I mean, c'mon." Jafar looked confused.

"That one that is a witch. How will she let it go? I can handle her, I've been doing it just fine anyway." I shrugged it off. "I'm not going back to that house any time soon, though, not me nor marwan." I added.

"I'm baffled at how he could do this to his own brother. How he could believe marwan is an addict, that's plain insanity if you ask me."

"He's so stupid for a software engineer. It turns out uthman showed his mother a video of marwan doing drugs, smoking, and whatever. His mom now told the rest of the mothers, Baba and mami, didn't believe it, but khalil did, obviously. You know what's bound to happen next, chaos. Instead of the fool to do a video analysis to check how authentic the video is or to at least do a drug test, no, he just decided to believe what he saw." I shook my head in disappointment.

"I wonder how marwan has been dealing with this. Poor kid." He lamented.

"I'm not letting him go back to that toxic house any time soon, I had to squeeze this information out of him on the way here. He's hurting. He really is. Even though he has been trying not to show it, my first day in their house, I caught him crying alone, I asked him what happened, but he just gave me a silly excuse. I didn't buy it, but I never thought it'd be something this huge." I crashed on the couch. I was exhausted. It has been a pretty long day. It's 9 pm already.

"A teen shouldn't have to go through all of this. We can't let this affect his mental health. We are going to keep him happy at all costs." Jafar did just as I did.

"And most importantly, prove his innocence. Speaking of, I'll go check on him." Marwan was given a vacant room beside jafar's room, so I wanted to see how he was settling in and if he needed anything.

I knocked on his door, and his head peeped through the door shortly after. His fave broke into a warm smile when he saw me. He then opened the door completely, "Adda, come in."

"Nah, it's okay. Just wanted to check in. How're you? Do you need anything? You comfy?"

"Adda adda, calm down, one question at a time." He chuckled and motioned the "calm down" with his hands.

I chuckled too and swat his arm, "Ban son rainin wayo marwan."

"Sorry, adda, and yes, I'm good, I am very comfy. But I do need one thing."

"Just name it."

"I just need a hug from the best sister ever."

My bright smile morphed into a sad one, I opened my arms, "Aww, come here, champ." He closed in for the hug, "Thank you so much for looking out for me, for believing in me, for pretty much everything."
