Cameron's * POV *
I was walking quickly to my car when Aliah yells my name. " Cameron " she says. I hear her getting closer. I walk faster. " Cameron " she said again. I just ignore her. She grabs my hand and I turn around. " what do you want. " I say. " what happened. What's wrong, and why are you mad at me ? " she says still holding onto my hand.
" I'm not mad. I'm frustrated " I say letting go of her hand and rubbing my eyes. " why? " she says tilting her head and furrowing her eyebrows. I hate that. She looks cute when she looks confused. It pisses me off. " because I'm not supposed to like anyone. I use girls like their some project and then leave them. It's what I do. But you... " I trail off. She widens her eyes. " I've been trying to convince myself that I don't like you. I tried so hard. But I think about you all the time and I just... " I say.
I groan and run my hand through my hair. " never mind " I say and walk away. She grabs my wrist. " Aliah leave me alo- " she cuts me off by kissing me. I'm shocked but I kiss her back. I bring my hands up to her cheeks and deepen the kiss. She slowly pulls away and rests her forehead on mine out of breath.
I look at her eyes and smile, she smiles too. Her smile fades away and she backs away from me. " what ? " I say. " Melina. Oh my god I'm so selfish I didn't even think about how Melina would feel " she says putting her hand on her head.
" She'll be fine " I said. " come on Cameron. You know Melina. We have no idea how she will take this. " she says. " then we'll keep it a secret. " I said. " I don't know.... but what if she- " I cut her off by grabbing her hand, pulling her towards me and kissing her. She kissed me back and I pull away. I wrap my arms around her waist and lock them behind her waist.
She looks at my eyes and I make a puppy dog face. " fine. But only for a little. And then were telling her. " she said. I smiled big showing my teeth and she laughed and pushed me off of her. She walked away from me. I ran to her and wrapped my arms around her waist resting my head on her shoulder.
She turned around and looked at me. She had a straight face. " smile Aliah. Someone could be falling in love with your smile. " I said. She smiled and pecked me. " ok. I'm gonna go find Melina. She's probably sleeping on the ground she's so drunk. " she says. I laugh.
" that's Melina for you. " I say. She laughs and waves goodbye. I wave back. Wow. Who am I ?
Melina's * POV *
I stumble out of the kitchen after my... I don't even know how many drinks I've had. I'm walking when I trip and someone catches me. I stand up and look at them. Oh shit, it's Sammy. " thanks " I say. He smiles. " no problem. " he said. I smile back. " do you want to dance? " He says. I nod. He takes my hand and holds it. My stomach is doing flips. He brings me out to the dance floor.
This Could be Us by Rae Sremmurd starts playing. Sammy puts his hands on my hips and I sway them left to right. " so back to what I was saying. This could be us but you playing " we sang. I looked at Sammy but he was looking somewhere totally different, he was smirking. I looked to where he was looking and it was a really pretty girl.
" who's that? " I say. He quickly looks at me. " she's my ex. She broke up with me. " he says looking at her again. I look at back at her and then at Sammy. He winks at her. I push his hands off of me. He looks at me confused. " wow. You're using me to make her jealous. " I said.
" what? No. " he says. He's lying. " stop lying. Go find another girl to play " I say walking away from him. He grabs my hand. I yank it away and glare at him. I walk away again when someone grabs my arm. " leave me alone! " I yell turning around but it's just Aliah. " whoa what the hell did I do " she says putting her hands up. I huff. " sorry. " I say running my hand through my hair.
" come on. It's late. I'll drive. " she says. I nod and give her my keys. We go to the front and walk to my car. Melina gets in the passenger seat and I get in the drivers. I start the car and head our way back to her house.
We get there and walk in. " Melina Dawn where have you been. " Sherri says as we walk in. That's Melina's mom. Melina looks at me. " she was at my house, we were having a little girls night. We watched movies and ate junk food. " I say. " oh, sorry. Melina tell me next time you leave the house so I don't have to come home to you gone, Ok? " she says. Melina nods.
" where's Cameron " her mom says. " he went to pick up his friends from their houses and get snacks. " I say. She nods. We go upstairs and sit on her bed. " thanks. " she said. " no problem. Text Cameron and tell him to get snacks on his way here and explain why. " I say. She nods and pulls out her phone.
We washed our faces and changed into pajamas. We were watching Bridesmaids when someone opened Melina's door. It was Cameron. " hi " he said laughing. He stumbled in and sat on the bed, he's drunk. " what are you guys doing " he says putting his hand on my leg. I smack it away but Melina didn't notice thankfully. " watching a movie. Now get out. " Melina says getting up, and pushing him out the door. She sits back on the bed.
After the movie we both fall asleep.
