Chapter 18

Donnie's POV

Today is the day that we save Leo. I'm really nervous. The plan has to work, and if it doesn't, I doubt we'll live.

It was hard talking to sensei without being nervous. If you showed fear, he would know tonight is the night.

Since tonight was the night, we decided to invite Casey and April over. It could be the last time we see them.

We all gathered in the living room while we waited for them to show up. We didn't speak much. We were all too scared. Eventually they did show up.

"What's up guys?" April asked.

"We haven't seen you in a while," Raph said trying to to say anything he shouldn't.

"So," April said coming close to us. "How's the plan going?"

"It's pretty good, just a matter of time before we sneak out," I said very quietly.

"Do you have a date planned out?" Casey asked joining the conversation.

Mikey shook his head yes. We made sure that he wouldn't tell them that it was tonight.

We were talking about our plan, when sensei walked in. Raph quickly changed the topic.

"So what do you think about the new pizza place Casey?" Raph asked.

"There's a new pizza place!" Mikey said before letting Casey talk and not catching on so quickly.

"Yes Mikey, of you were paying attention to what Casey was saying, you would already know that," I said hoping that he'd get the hint.

"Oh right, I kinda wasn't listening," Mikey said finally realizing that there wasn't a new pizza place.

The conversation continued for a while. We waited until sensei left to talk about the plan again.

After a while we couldn't tell them anymore information. They decided to leave.

Before we knew it night here. My heart was pounding very fast, if not the fastest that's it's ever pounded. I could tell that everyone else was nervous too. No one really spoke again.

"Good night my sons," sensei said coming out of the dojo and walking to his room.

"Goodnight sensei," I said.

"Night," Raph said.

"See you tomorrow," Mikey said.

Now of corse we all wanted to say more to him incase we didn't come back, but we were afraid that he'd get to suspicious. That's why we decided earlier to write a note. We kept it on my bed for him to read if we don't make it back. If we do come back, we'll get rid of the note.

Dear sensei,

Thank you for being such a good father to us. We're sorry that we disobeyed you and left the lair when we aren't supposed to. We had to try and save Leo. After you went to bed last night, we snook out. Please don't try to call us, because we might be in Shredder's lair. We understand if you get mad at us for doing this, but we just couldn't leave Leo there. If we aren't here by morning, we have most likely been captured by Shredder. Please don't come and save us if so. We don't want you to get hurt. If we are out in cells, we'll try to escape on our own. We love you.

We waited half an hour after sensei went to bed. We quickly started to gather things that we needed. Raph grabbed extra ninja stars and smoke bombs. Mikey got an extra staff for me incase mine broke, and fireworks. I got the night vision googles, wire cutters and a new pair of katanas for Leo. We also had some other things on the Shellraiser.

"Are we ready to go?" Raph asked us very quietly.

Both Mikey and I nodded out heads yes.

"Then lets go," Raph said.
