The rain fell hard. Extremely hard.

Sweeney Todd paid little mind to the heavy droplets thundering off his leather coat as he trudged through the muddy puddles on this cold London evening. His emotions were a mixture of anger and relief right now, how Lucy could withhold this information of Mrs Lovetts whereabouts for two days astonished him. Not only that but he felt hugely disappointed too, for that was not the woman he once had fallen so deeply in love with. His Lucy barker the old Lucy would never have been so unkind, there was a child involved in this too and although Sweeney wasn't close to Toby that didn't change the fact this was a child, mourning the woman that saved him from the workhouse.

As for Lucy, right now he couldn't bring himself to think of her for if he did he would only become more irate for what she had done. A week had gone by with no news of Eleanore's whereabouts and for two of those days she had know all along....

No, he had to push her to one side right now and focus on finding Mrs Lovett. He had no idea what state she may be in nor did he know yet if she was indeed safe, after all she was living with a complete stranger.

As the thunder rumbled loudly above him he glanced up as he walked and pulled his coat tighter around himself as the chill reached his bones. He walked for ages until he finally came by a sign for Victoria street. He brushed his wet hair out of his face looking at the numbers on the doors 39...40...41. Here.

Walking up the small steps to the front door he used to knocker hard and waited for a response. He then grit his teeth and tried again only to stop when the door creeped open to reveal a man peek his head round.

"Do you know what the time is!" He snapped clearly he'd be disturbed from his sleep.

Sweeney didn't respond just stood panting slightly as the rain ran down his face. It was then that Officer Morgan stood straight while his features softened on the man. "Mr Todd?" He asked unsure if it was indeed him but considering this was a strange man banging at his door in the middle of the night it seemed plausible.

"Is she here?" Sweeney asked still standing there like a drowned rat before the policeman nodded and allowed him in.

Sweeney glanced around his home, small but lavish for an officer....they must be paid well. "I'm Officer Morgan, Charlie" he said extending his hand with a smile which Sweeney awkwardly took. "How is she?" He asked eager to see her.

"Much better....and I'm sure she will be even more so that you're here sir" he said making Sweeney inwardly smirk knowing she had spoken of him to the officer. "She's over the sickness now...but has two injuries. One to the head that's improved rather quickly and another on her thigh which is still painful for her to walk on....mainly she stays in bed sir....if you like I can set you up a bed out here"

"I'll stay with her if you don't mind" the words left his mouth before he even had a chance to think whether that was appropriate or not.

"Very well, I'll leave you to see her and bid you goodnight" Charlie pointed to the door she was behind and smiled kindly towards the man as he entered the room.

Lucy felt her insides twist when she walked into Mrs Lovetts living room to see Toby sniffling in front of the fire. She had been pacing non stop upstairs biting her nails wondering if she should come down or not to speak with the young boy.

The guilt was too much. What she had done was so out of character that she felt truly sick. The moment she had thrown the officers address in the flames she knew immediately that that had been the wrong decision. She could have just said right away? Told her Ben that she knew that Mrs Lovett was indeed alive. But she hadn't.
