(Y/N) blinked in curiosity as her eyes adjusted to the lights of the city. New York City.
If (Y/N) hadn't known better, she would've thought the city lights were stars. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the city street came alive in a kind of radiance. Neon lights flickered to life, casting a colorful glow that danced across the wet pavement, reflecting the twinkling stars above. The distant hum of traffic merged with the sound of footsteps echoing off the towering buildings that loomed overhead.
The air was crisp and cool, carrying with it a hint of city life smell - a mix of car exhaust, sizzling street food, and the distant strains of music spilling out from dimly lit bars blocks away. Shadows played tricks in the corners, concealing mysteries that only the night could reveal. Mysteries such as (Y/N) her self and her family.
And right in front of her was her own mystery, the mysteries and wonders of the playground: Swings; slides, seesaws, tether ball posts, a basketball hoop. (Y/N) didn't know which to try out first. Not until she saw it: The Geodome Jungle-Gym(the really, really tall one for big kids and teenagers). Luckily for her, Michaelangelo had the same idea as her.
"King of the Hill?" He asked, looking down to his baby sister.
"You mean Queen of the Hill. 123GO!" (Y/N) shrieked, running to the bars as quickly as she could with Mikey, Mondo Geko, Leo, Spike, April and Mona following close behind as the others stood watch around the playground and Master Splinter enjoyed the revels of sitting on the bench, wacthing his children play at the park.
Of course, (Y/N) made it to the top first before Mondo tried to steal her spot. Spike was stationed inside the dome at the bottom, waiting to catch whoever fell in. Being a Geko, Mondo had pretty good chances at beating the little mouse, right up until she started tickling him. And the Geko was caught by Spike.
Mikey and Leo were next. Now Leo knew she had no issues taking them down by any means necessary; but it wasn't a secret that out of all the brothers, she tended to like Mikey more(snack bribes). So while Mikey was dancing around on top, avoiding her tail trying to knock him down, Leo was gonna jump in and kick Mikey on the Shell; making Mikey fall farward on top (Y/N), who wasn't strong enough to hold onto the bars with the weight of Mikey, forcing them both down the whole to the Mutant Snapping Turtle. It was the perfect plan, two birds with one stone. Or one Turtle and Mouse with one kick.
At least until (Y/N) shot up straight as a meerkat as she threw one of her emergency smoke bombs.
"I hear something," was all they needed to hear from (Y/N) before rushing back to Master Splinter and the others through the cover of the smoke.
Before now, the brothers had done their best to finish patrols as fast as possible. Meaning instead of patrolling the City all together throughout the night, they split up and looked over all the places where they previously knew where trouble would be, only taking care of the problems in those places rather than doing a thorough sweep like usual. And of course, somebody noticed...that somebody being a Foot soldier.
Or two.
Or a few.
At least 20 actually.
Of course, with the whole family being there, the foot was down, and out long before the smoke cleared, Master Splinter didn't even need to get up from the bench. As the smoke cleared and the pile of robot/ human bodies grew, the Turtles and Mutanimals finished clearing out the park before turning back to the Geodome to find (Y/N) ontop locked in hand to hand combat with a foot-ninja. Her brothers moved to help, but Master Splinter tripped them with his staff, his T-Phone out infront of him.
"It is the Youngest Child's first battle. This is a teaching moment, as well as a special memory is it not? We must not let our fear consume us, should little (Y/N) require aid, she will demand it," Master Splinter said proudly as he recorded the special event.
Though they were wary, the brothers stood by cheering their little sister on as she fought the foe. "Come on (Y/N), don't stop moving!" "Remember proper form when throwing a punch!" "Don't think, just do!" "GET THE FACE, GO FOR THE FACE SISSY! SMASH HIS KNEECAPS IN!"
"SHUT UP! I can't concentrate, Baka aniki-tachi yo!(Stupid Older Brothers!)" (Y/N) shouted back as her attacker pulled on her tail. (Y/N) growled as she wrapped her tail around their hands before pulling back; tossing them over her shoulder, off the Geodome. The culprit landed skillfully and safely on the ground, but not before getting a full flying roundhouse kick into the head, knocking them down into the cement.
The brothers cheered the loudest out of everyone as (Y/N) skipped over to the rest of her family, dragging the body behind her with her tail before Leatherhead tossed them ontop of the pile.
"T.K.O.! TOTAL KNOCK OUT," they cheered as Master Splinter picked up the now scratched and bruised youngest child.
"My little (Y/N), I'm so proud of you," he sighed, hugging his daughter in relief as they all began making their way back home.
(Y/N)'s smile only grew mischievous and bright dispite the black eye she had, "So does this mean I can join patrols now?"
"NO!" The brothers shouted as their devious little sister cackled at her brothers.
"Baby's first bad guy. I didn't think I'd get to see it," Alopex sighed sweetly as the four brothers fussed over the youngest child. The rest of the Mutanimals nodded in agreement, greatful to have been able to see their niece's biggest achievement yet.
Taking down the Enemy all on her own.
