It was weird, he had never felt the need to have a phone or such things but when Wuxie and Pangzi was laughing and showing off with how cool it was he felt slightly upset.

"Xiao-ge, look, look, can you see how awesome this is? It can get you any food you want." Pangzi said as he excitedly showed Qiling a page with food.

"Xiao-ge, look at this, you can find anywhere you wanna go, isn't this amazing? You won't ever get lost." Wuxie pushed Pangzi away and shoved the screen showing a map of their location. As the two bickered about which features were cooler Qiling decided to take a walk. It's not like he didn't want a phone, it was just he didn't need one at the time but now, maybe he should get one. He walked over to a phone store and purchased a phone that the store worker suggested. He looked at it and quickly put in Wuxie's and Pangzi's numbers that he knew by heart. The phone was easy enough to use as the store worker gave him the basics. He pocketed the phone and walked over to a food stall before going back home.

"Xiao-ge, where were you? Did you go out and get yourself a girlfriend?" Pangzi raised his eyebrows in a suggestive way while smirking.

"Hiz, Pangzi, why don't you leave Xiao-ge alone, he isn't like you, falling for every woman he sees." Wuxie pushed Pangzi off his chair and walked up to Qiling with a big smile. "Xiao-ge, did you get food? I'm starving."

"Mm." Qiling held out the bag of food and he took it happily running off to set the table.

"Always know how to make Tenzhen happy." Pangzi had gotten off the ground and walked over to put his hand around Qiling's shoulder. "But really, don't you think he'd be happier if he knew how you felt?" Qiling felt his mind go blank for a moment before he tured to watch Pangzi who was looking at the busy Wuxie. "Anyways, thanks for the food, you better come fast before I eat it all." Pangzi ran off laughing.

'I know he's perceptive but didn't I hide it well?' Qiling thought as he walked over to his friends. 'It's alright once Wuxie doesn't find out.'

Time skip to a month after~

Qiling had left to travel around on a trip to recover some of his lost memories. Having gone by himself he felt abit lonely. Thinking back, he had a phone now, since he got it he had not used it much besides getting locations and booking flights.

"Wuxie...." Qiling looked at his screen, the contact name Wuxie was big and bold with his number. A knock made him a little startled and he ended up clumsily pushing the phone under his cover.

"Hello, your dinner is here, I will leave it at the door for you." A woman's voice sounded. He got out of bed and collected the dishes, putting it on his table and getting back in the bed. His hand searched for the phone, his fingers touching the cool steel as he picked it up. The screen was bright and the name Wuxie was on the screen with numbers. He had called in his haste to hide the phone.

"Hello? Who is this?" Wuxie's voice came from the phone. Qiling felt his heart speed up a little as he put the phone to his ear. "Hello? Is this a prank call?" Wuxie sounded confused as he asked himself.

"Wuxie." Qiling answered, laying in the bed with his eyes closed, consentrating on his voice that he oh so missed.

"Xiao-ge!? Is that you? How are you calling me? Are you alright? What's going on? How are you calling right now?" Wuxie asked panicing.

"I'm fine....I have a phone." Qiling said softly.

"What!? You do? When did that happen?" Wuxie asked abit excited. Qiling listened to his voice, feeling at ease after so long. He really had missed Wuxie. He wanted to go home.

"Mm, awhile ago." Qiling answered as he pictured how Wuxie would be smiling from ear to ear.

"Waw, I'm glad, now we can talk even when you go far away. It's been a month already since you left home. How are things going over there?" Wuxie was laying on his own bed, as he talked to Qiling.

"It's fine.... What are you doing?" Qiling asked, he was curious.

"Me? I was going to sleep, but I'm wide awake now. I'm just laying in bed, talking with you. Say, Xiao-ge, am I the first one you've called?" Wuxie asked curiously as he played with the soft blanket around him.

"Mm.... I wanted to hear you." Qiling said and he heard Wuxie gasp on the other side of the phone. Maybe talking like this was abit dangerous, he felt like he could say anything since he couldn't see Wuxie's reactions.

"O..oh, well here I am. Haha, but I didn't know you knew how a phone worked." Wuxie felt his face heat up abit. 'It must be the weather, that must be it.' He told himself. 'It's so not cause Xiao-ge sounds like he's right by my ears.'

"Tired?" Qiling asked. 'It feels like he's right here. His voice sounds soft and I can faintly hear his breathing too.'

"No, it's fine. I'm alright. Are you going to sleep?" Wuxie turned on his side as he talked, pulling the cover over himself, snuggling into it and closing his eyes.

"No."

"Are you sure? Don't you have to rest for whatever adventures you have tomorrow?"

"Mm....but I want to hear you more." Qiling whispered but Wuxie heard it. His whole face heated up as his eyes shot open. 'H..he probably meant that in a different way. It's Xiao-ge after all, he's too innocent for such things.' Wuxie tried to calm his heart and slowly closed his eyes again.

"Did you miss us? Maybe we should have joined you when you left, I would have left the shop for Wang Meng to look after."

"I'll come back soon...... but," Qiling stopped. 'Should I? Will he say no? Or think I'm weird?'

"But? What is it? Is something wrong? Did something happen?" Wuxie asked a little worried. He knew Qiling always kept things to himself. Knew that he tried to keep them out of danger. He knew it was for their own good but damn was it annoying and fustrating.

"Call." Qiling slowly said, waiting for the response.

"Call?" Wuxie questioned. "Is it, you want to hang up now?" Wuxie asked, slightly disappointed.

"No...." Qiling answered.

"Then?" Wuxie asked again this time waiting as Qiling tried to answer.

"Can I.... call tomorrow?" Qiling asked, his heart was beating weirdly fast even though he was just laying down on the bed.

"Yeah! Ofcourse!" Wuxie shouted out louder than he inteaded. "Ah, sorry, that was loud, it's just, well I'll get to talk to you more and I got abit excited. Hehe, anyways, you know Pangzi got another weird jersy for us. His style is truly weird." Wuxie laughed and although he couldn't see, Qiling smiled.

"Is it ducks again?" Qiling wondered. The last time Pangxi had bought boxers for him it had ducks on it, he had not minded much though when Wuxie and Pangzi had stripped him and laughed, he felt abit embarrassed but still, seeing them laugh was worth it.

"Ah, you remembered that. Honestly those were cute. Do you still have them?" Wuxie asked thinking of the adorable boxers which Qiling had worn before. His face turned red as he imagined it. 'It is cute but dangerous.' Wuxie shook his head.

"Mm." Qiling answered as he heard a yawn on the other side of the phone. "Sleepy?"

"A little." Wuxie answered as he rubbed his eyes. "It's fine though, we can talk abit more right? There was also this dish I wanted you to try, it was really good." Wuxie started to ramble and then it turned into mumbles as he drifted off to sleep. Qiling could hear his soft breaths over the phone. 'Is this how intoxicating it is just to hear him sleep as if he were right here? If only I could just reach over and hold him.' Qiling quickly shook his head.

"Goodnight, Wuxie." Qiling whispered and ended the call even though he wanted nothing more than to stay and listen to Wuxie's calming breaths.

Every night Qiling called Wuxie and they talked about basically everything and nothing until Wuxie fell asleep and Qiling hanged up unwillingly. Qiling felt his heart beat fasten and slow down, it even stopped a time when Wuxie had fallen off his bed. As he sat in the plane to go back home he thought of those nights. 'Wuxie.'

And here it is, I hope you guys liked it. Ik I said its a oneshot but I'm gonna make a part two in this. Anyways, stay toon.😉
