Qiling realized that he was abit over ptotective when it came to Wuxie but could you blame him? The younger boy always seemed to be getting into trouble. He had offered to help out at the shop because he wanted to be more useful, it totally wasn't because he didn't like that Wang Meng and Wuxie spent so much time together. It really wasn't but then maybe it was. He wanted to be closer to him and when Wang Meng said he wanted to go on vacation Qiling hurried to send him off. They worked together and he was content with how things were. They ate together and talked every now and then, even sitting in silence was peaceful and relaxing. Qiling felt calm when he was with Wuxie.
"No." Qiling said as he stood by the door, blocking Wuxie from leaving.
"What do you mean no? I'm just going to meet a friend." Wuxie answered back as he watched Qiling who still didn't move.
"You can't." Qiling argued back as he glared. Wuxie sighed as he backed away.
"Ok, why can't I? She isn't a dangerous person. You even met her before." Wuxie tried again. Ofcourse Qiling knew her. She was nun other than Bai Hao Tain, the girl from warehouse 11.
"I'll go too." Qiling said as he watched Wuxie who was getting annoyed at standing for too long.
"Xiao-ge, she asked me to come alone. I can't bring you, what if it's something with the warehouse that you aren't suppose to know about. You know how serious they are with secrecy." Wuxie gave up this time opting to sit on the ground. Qiling stayed rooted infront of the door, not wanting to move.
"It could be dangerous." He tried to reason when he heard light footsteps coming closer from behind him.
"Chief. I was wondering what was taking you so long." A head poked out from behind Qiling with a big smile. He frowned when Wuxie got up to greet her. He felt bitter as he went to follow them to Wuxie's study.
"You stay outside. We're just gonna talk and you're right there too." Wuxie said as he closed the door. He frowned. He had been locked out all because of her. She was always so clingy and overly affectionate to him that it made Qiling.... well he wasn't sure what it was but he knew he didn't like it. He wondered what they were talking about so he pressed his ear to the door only for him to hear footsteps approching. He quickly stood straight as he waited for the door to open.
"Ah, Chief and I are going on a date." She giggled as she hopped out the study towards the entrance. He stared at Wuxie as he came out shortly after.
"I'll be back." Wuxie said to a very stiff Qiling. He didn't react at first, his mind still processing what the girl said. Only after a few minutes did he finally blink.
"Date.... Wuxie is?" Qiling questioned as his heart seemed to stop. It felt alot like when he lost his memories and wanted them back. The anxity, the way his body wanted to rush out even though he didn't know where to go. Qiling walked to Wuxie's room and sat on his bed, waiting. 'He'll come back.' He thought to himself. 'What are they doing? Wuxie won't fall for her.... will he? No, he won't.... she isn't pretty.' Qiling felt petty and childish as his thoughts kept spiraling. He wasn't just over protective, no, he was also possessive of Wuxie. Hours passed as he waited only for a slightly worn out Wuxie to stumble into his room, turning on the lights and jumping as he saw Qiling sitting on his bed, arms crossed with a frown.
"Xiao-ge? What are you doing here in the dark?" Wuxie asked as he slid off his jacket not minding that Qiling was there. His eyes were staring at Wuxie's every movement. The way he unbottoned his shirt cuffs and how he just crashed into his bed after. "Ughh, that little Bai dragged me over to help with paper work and their inventory. I can't believe she went up in ranks and still struggles with the antient stuff." Wuxie rambled on, his back against the soft mattress and hand over his eyes.
