Happiness

Qiling knew how important Wuxie was to him. He became protective when he was near and anxious when he wasn't. When he was sad, Qiling wanted nothing more than to make him happy again. His emotions were closely linked to the young man who was always getting himself into trouble. He wasn't sure why or how or even when he became such an important person to him but that was a fact. He knew even if he lost his memories that he would still remember Wuxie. He was his sun, his moon, his world itself. There was a string or maybe a chain that binded them together.

"Xiao-ge, why are you out here by yourself?" Wuxie asked clueless to Qiling's thoughts. "Are you watching the stars?" He came over and sat next to the stotic male. He was accustom to the silence, it was comfortable. "It sure is pretty out here." The stars were reflecting in his brown eyes, making them twinkle and honestly Qiling couldn't take his eyes away. The way his lips parted in awe or how his face seemed to glow in the darkness, everything about him was mesmerising. Wuxie felt those eyes on him. He knew Qiling was watching him as he normally would. He didn't mind, it was a warm gaze that always made him feel safe. He turned to the older man, their eyes met and neither of them turned away. Wuxie smiled and Qiling felt all warm and fuzzy.

"Wuxie equals happiness." Qiling whispered out as he patted his head.

"Huh? What did you say? Xiao-ge??" Wuxie asked confused but didn't move from being patted. Qiling rearly did such things and he wasn't about to lose the moment but of course it came to an end less than a second after. "Xiao-ge?? Aren't you gonna tell me?" Wuxie asked again but only got a small smile from Qiling as he turned to watch the sky. Wuxie decide to give up on an answer and just admire the night sky with him by his side. He smiled and lay down. The wind was cool and the stars where shinny. He felt at peace. His eyes slowly closed. Qiling looked back and smiled, laying right next to him. For now, he could induldge in this. The warmth of the body next to his, the cool night breeze and the stars that shined on them both. Yes, this was his happiness.
