"And this is where the queen lives...." Phil says.
"How do you know where she lives?"
"Well, she lives in a giant castle. It's pretty obvious," Phil laughs.
"You have a point there," I laugh.
I frown. "Hey um, how often does Dan have existential crisis?" I ask.
"He used to have them all the time when he was in uni but now he rarely ever has them.. but he started having them again. His girlfriend broke up with him about three days ago and he's a wreck," Phil explains.
"Oh," I say. No wonder he was such an ass. I suddenly feel very bad about how I wasn't exactly nice, but not exactly mean either, earlier.
"Yeah...... Well, tell him I'm sorry," I say. Phil nods and we keep walking.
"So, what is that clock?" I ask, even though I've lived in London my whole life. I point to Big Ben and Phil laughs.
"That's Large Larry," he grins. I laugh and wave at the clock.
"Hello Large Larry!!"
Phil laughs.
"Large Larry really likes you!" Phil exclaims.
"YAY!!!! I like you too, Larry!!!" I start. "Larry seems cool." I nod.
Phil laughs more. "I was just kidding. Larry hates you."
"DANG IT, LARRY!!!! YOU BETRAYED ME!!!!!!!!" I shake my fist in the air at Larry.
Phil dies of laughter.
"How did James not introduce us sooner?" Phil asks as we make our way down the sidewalk.
"I dunno...... He is very protective of me, and very hypocritical," I frown.
"Really?"
"Yeah..... I just hate the fact I know one day he's going to tell me something and then he'll turn around and do the same thing," I sigh.
"Well, just know I'll never be hypocritical.... Unless I tell you to stop eating...... Because Im going to eat too," he laughs. I shake my head and giggle.
"You are perhaps the best friend I've ever had," I smile as we walk into a restaurant.
"Friend? Really? I get to be your friend?" He asks in mock suprise.
"My best friend," I smile. He grins and we sit down at a booth together.

I wave goodbye to Phil as his cab pulls away. After it's gone, I make my way up the millions of stairs to James and I's flat. I open the door and am met with a black hallway.
Weird. James is here and he always leaves this light on. I shrug and continue to the kitchen where I make myself a mug of tea before I start to head off to my room.
"Where were you?" James snaps, the light to the lounge snapping on. I jump and spill some of my tea.
"James! Christ you scared me!" I say. He frowns and doesn't apologize.
"I was with Phil. We hung out today," I say, with sigh. Here comes the lecture.
"It was a date, wasn't it?" He growls.
"No! We hung out! We went to different shops. That's it! Why are you freaking?!" I ask.
"Because he is my age and you are twenty two! He is too old for you!" He snaps.
"I don't even like him like that! We're friends James! And you were the one who introduced us! I don't see why you are being so bloody pissy!' I shout.
His features disappear into a scowl.
"Whatever. But if I catch you dating him, sleeping with him...... You're in trouble," he growls.
"James! We are friends! And he's the best friend I've had in a while! Better than you, you ass!" I shout. I drop my mug to the ground and let it shatter musically to the ground.
"Clean it up," I spit. I march into my room and then slam the door shut for good measure.
GOD! James is such a stupid head. Yes. I just quoted lilo and stitch. Deal with it.
Just watch him be hypocritical and do exactly what he told me not to do one day when he's in the situation.
Phil is my friend. What part of friend does he not understand? Get it through your tiny, tiny, little brain, James! We are F-R-I-E-N-D-S!!!!! How did he even make it through university?! He's so stupid!!! Phil is a better friend than James sometimes.
One minute James will say he'll never leave my side and the next, he's like 'see ya! I'm going to hand out with some friends for a while!'
GOD!!! He is so fucking hypocritical and overly protective!!! Why can't I have a brother that isn't hypocritical or overly protective?
I sigh and fall down onto my bed, face down. I make half an effort to pull a sheet up over my body, and then go to sleep.
Amazing myself when that the last thing I think of is meeting Dan.
