6. Guess what

Alina's POV

It was already night when I arrived in Miami. When I walked out of the airport I saw Rita waiting for me instead of Mike. "Ritaa hi." I said while hugging her. "Hi sweetheart. How was your flight." She hugged me a little longer. "Great thank you. I thought Mike was picking me up. Where is he?" I asked her. "Well I thought it was nice for you to see me instead of Mike and also he needed to catch a flight himself to LA. So i changed my plans. Apparently Armando needs him." She told me. "I wonder for what." I said while I was putting my luggage in her car. "Hey Lina, do you really think he's gonna tell Mike?" She asked me."I don't know Rita, maybe. But it's not up to me to tell Mike first. That's on him." I told her and she nodded.

On our way to Rita's apartment I vented to her about what happend when I left his house. "I should have told him right away, that I'm Gomez his daughter." I sighed. "Cause of course he would have found out and would have been angry with me. I get that. I should have told him." "Lina sweetheart, your blaiming yourself right now. You didn't needed to tell him. He found out. His reaction was his own choice. You can't change anything about the way someone wants to act. He could have reacted the same when you had told him yourself." She said to me to calm me down. She is right. His behavior wasn't on me. And why should I even care. It's not like I'm ever going to be living with him again or be close with him or something. He's just a random dude, who now knows my secret and who can't control his anger issues towards people. Nothing more than that.

We arived at Rita's apartment and I went straight to my room to catch some sleep. I didn't even bother to eat something because I was so tired of everything today, the only thing I wanted was to close my eyes and just empty my head.

I woke up with a good mood today. Back at Rita's place. Back in Miami. No crazy criminal in my space. Just peace. Rita told me that Mike was already back from LA and he wanted to see us. We decided to head over to Mike his penthouse for lunch and to catch up.
On our way I wondered about what Mike wanted to see us. Did Armando told him? Or did something happend? Am I worried about Armando? No, no I'm not, just curious I think.

We arrived at Mike's penthouse. When I saw Mike I greated him with a hug. "Hi Lina happy to see you." "Glad to see you to Mike." I said with a smile. We walked in to his house and he already had some lunch ready for us. "Well that looks delicious Mike." Rita complimented him. "I didn't know you could cook or make any kind of food. Rita always told me how she hated it that you never cooked for her." I said laughing. "Yeah I didn't make it, someone else did." Mike said with a suspicious look towards me. "You really made Christine do all this?" I asked. "No, uhm not Christine. Uhmm Lina don't get mad but.." before Mike could finished his sentence, somebody who I really didn't want to see walked in to the dining area. "You really brought him to here Mike? You invited me over with HIM in your house Mike?" I said with a irritated voice. Armando was just standing over there not knowing if he should talk to me or wait for his dad to cover him up. "Lina please, we need him here. I know what happend yesterday, I know he's been a dick to you and he needs to apologize for that, but Lina can you put it aside for now till we're done here." Mike said to me. "Rita you knew about this?" I asked her. "Mike told me before we left. Lina you can be upset that is your right, but we need to do some work right now alright." I sighed and looked over to Armando. "You really been a dick to me you know that right?" "I know Alina." I sat down. "Well guys, let's get some work done so I can leave this house as soon as possible." I said to the three of them.

"So you're gonna use me as bait to catch my dad?" "Only if you want to Lina. We can come up with an antoher plan if you don't want to do it." Rita said. "No it's okay. I want to do it. I want to put him in jail. I can do it Rita." I said to her with a little smile on my face. She took such good care of me. She always looked after me. She did everything for me. Now it's time that I do something for myself and make her proud of me. I know she already is, but still.

"We will go in tonight." Mike said. "AMMO is ready. Rita will cordinate and Armando and I will be your protection if anything goes wrong." "You're gonna let him, who literally hurted me yesterday, be my hero now?" I asked Mike. "You can go by yourself and not have us as your back up and if anything goes wrong, your dad probably shoots a bullet through your head, or let me protect you together with Mike." Armando said to me. I was stubborn enough to go by myself, but he was right my dad has a death wish for me. So I do not have that much of a choice. "Alright. We're gonna do it." I told them.
