25. Hope

Alina's POV

Yesterday was a day I try to forget. I didn't understand why he came here. Why he was send to kill me and still didn't pull the trigger on me. Why he killed that guy who hurted me when he was the one who needed to kill me. I didn't understand a thing about it. It suprises me how much of a grip his mother has on him. When I met him he was always stubborn, and careful with the things he did. It was his way and his way only. He never listened to anyone. But with his mother, he is just a whole different person. As if she enchanted him.

"Lina we need you here." Rita called for me as she snapped me out of my thoughts. "Sorry." "So, AMMO is going to try and catch Isabel tonight." "What about Armando?" "There is no sign of him being there. It is possible that he's hiding." "Thats obvious. He just tried to kill me yesterday, you want him locked up. Of course he is hiding" "He didn't do it Lina, he couldn't. You also know he would never." Mike said. I sighed. Mike probably noticed how I lost faith in Armando. "Lina, I need you back in the game. We need to get him back and save with us. Don't give up please." "I'm not giving up. I'm just worried. You know what kind of things he can do because of her. That's the problem. He's not the same when she is around." I said as I stood up and walked away from the table. I wanted nothing more than have him back. I wanted nothing more than him being save. And I know we all wanted the same. But I also did not want to get my hopes up and be disappointed when it doesn't work out the way we want.

"Lina you alright?" Rita asked me as she came up to me. "What do you think. I'm never going to be with the person I love. He's going to get locked up or his mother is going to make him crazy. Either way I'm not getting what I hoped for." "He can get a shorter sentence. We can try." "He's still going to be locked up Rita." "Yeah but.." "No not a but. I know what he has done. But he was doing good. With his life, with AMMO. This happend because of her. You should punish her, not him." "You heard what the plan is. We're going to get her. But I can't do any promises on Armando." "And that is the thing. You still see him as that killer that he was right? And I know, that is your right. But Rita, he saved you. He helped you. Can you do that for him too?" I looked at her with tears in my eyes. If she could she would. "Sweetheart, I'll try."

Armando's POV

Was it smart for me to look for Alina? Definitely not. But I did it anyway. I wanted to hear it from her mouth. To hear her say what her plan was all along. To hear what my mother had told me. But by my suprise she didn't say what I wanted to hear. She denied everything I asked her. She told me the truth. The truth that my mother wasn't telling me. I saw it in her eyes. She meant what she said. She was never going to use it against me. And she was right for not telling me sooner. I got caught up in my emotions. And got lied to by my mother, again. I couldn't express my feelings in the moment so I ran. As far as I could. "Hey man, ¿Quieres otra bebida? (Do you want another drink?" The bartender said as he pulled me out of my thoughts. "Si, Gracias." I said as he filled up my glass. I didn't went back to my mother after yesterday. I went looking for a place to sleep, away from her and I found one. One across a bar where I could drink my emotions away. It probably wasn't a great thing to do, but it was better than killing people to handle everything that's going on inside my head.

As I was trying to enjoy the evening all by myself I heard some men getting excited by something. They were whistling and buzzing about something. I turned my head to look around. Something caught my eye. Or I could better say someone. Long brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes was what I instantly recognized. Looking around to find someone. I wondered how she had found me. Or how she even ended up here. But honestly I didn't care about that now. All I cared about was her. And there she was. Standing so close to me. Her eyes meeting mine.
