Alina's POV
We arrived at the airport in Mexico this morning. The flight was great and our suitcases arrived safely with us. Armando already had booked a rentcar that we could use this trip.
We were driving for two hours when someone got a little hungry. "You want to eat or drink something?" Armando asked me as we drove by a few foodtrucks. "Yeah, we can stop here." I said back as Armando parked the car. I stepped out of it and walked to one of the foodtrucks. "Hola, ¿puedo darme dos burritos, por favor? (Hello , can i have two burritos please?)"I asked the man in the truck. "Claro, ¿tú también quieres algo de beber? (Sure, do you want something to drink too?)". "Si, dos coca cola por favor. (Yes, two cokes please.)" I paid him and walked back to the car with our food and drinks. "Here." I said to Armando as I handed him the burrito en his drink. "This is my favorite food you know." He said to me. "Really? I found you more of a pasta guy." "Love that too. But Mexican food is my favorite. Me recuerda a los buenos viejos tiempos (reminds me of good old times)." He smiled while saying that. What a softie. I loved that. "Do you think that theres anything between our families, that we don't know about?" I asked Armando. "Shouldn't suprise me if my mother had more secrets for me." He stroke my hand. "But if there are any secrets, it's not going to come between us alright." He said with a little smile on his face. It's incredible how he can make me feel so save by a few words. "Uhu. It changes nothing." I smiled back at him.
We just sat there at the parkinglot in the car eating our food in silence. I don't know how I need to feel. I don't even know how Armando feels. What if we find out things we didn't want to find out? Or what if this trip is gonna get us killed? What if something happens to Armando or to me? I left Miami with a good feeling and now I'm having doubts on everything. And everytime I'm having bad feelings, everything goes wrong. I was thinking about telling Armando how I felt, but I didn't want to let him know that I dragged him with me for nothing. So I decided to let the bad feelings go and just go with the flow. We will see.

We arrived at my great grandfather's house. It looked good and well cleaned, what took me by suprise. If there wasn't anyone living here before Armando came here with his mother, than who lived here after? This couldn't be an abandoned house. Armando said it had furniture and everything, but it looked so clean, that it was impossible that no one lived here. "You know for sure that no one lived here when you and your mother did?" I asked Armando as we stepped in the house. "Yeah I'm sure. Never saw anyone except for us." "Not a cleaning lady either?" "No. Just us." "Why is this house so clean and organized. It can't be that this house is abandoned. It looks like someone just mopped the floors." I said to Armando as I checked every corner for dust or something dirty. I was still yapping about the clean floors when Armando walked towards me and covered my mouth with his hand. "Ssh." He made some hand gestures that made clear that he heard something. He grabbed my hand and walked us over to a room. "There's someone here." He said. "Keep quiet, I'll go check." "Be safe." I told him before he left the room.
I waited for Armando to come back, but it took long, so I decided to go look for him by myself. As I stepped out of the room I immediately came across a man who was walking towards me with a gun. "ALINA." I heard Armando behind me as he pulled me back into the room. The man fired his gun a few times until Armando attacked him and took him down. "There's more of them here." He said while he grabbed my hand and walked as fast as he could, back to the entrance of the house. "Who are they?" "I have no idea." As we wanted to leave a few men stood in front of us. "Nosotros te estábamos esperando (we were waiting for you)." One of them said pointing at us. I had no idea if they meant Armando or me. "¿Para quien? (For who)" I said back to one of them. A man walked up to us and Armando tightened his grip on me. "A él (him)." He said. I looked at Armando wondering why these man were waiting for him. "Why are they expecting you?" I asked him curious. "Does it look like that I know why?" He said back with a little anger in his voice as he noticed that I was suspecting him of something. "Coge a la chica y llévala al jefe (get the girl and bring him to the boss)." The man in front of us said. Someone behind me grabbed me and took me away from Armando. "LET GO." I yelled as I punched the guy a few times in his face. It didn't work, he still had me in his grip. But there was one way of making Armando mad and that was by touching or hurting anyone he cares for.
Armando grabbed a gun from one of the men and took all of them out by himself. Armando shot the guy who hold me, what made him let go of me. As fast as I could I took his gun and shot the guy in his body. It made hin fell down to the ground with zero life in him anymore. I looked at him bleeding out on the ground. "Damn you just did your first kill." Armando said to me in a proud voice. I wasn't that proud of myself. I was shocked of what I just did. Is this who I'm becoming? Because of all the things I've been through these months? I'm capable of killing? "No, no, no." I said in shock as I got down on my knees next to the death man and tried to stop the bleeding. "Alina, calm down." Armando said as he tried to push me away from the body. "No, no, no. I killed him. I, I didn't mean too." "Alina hey, look at me, look at me." Armando said as he grabbed my face what forced me to look at him. "He was violent with you. He's bad. You don't know where he would have took you if he had the chance. He deserves it." He said to me to calm me down. I couldn't say anything back. I felt so much guilt. Even though Armando is right. I felt guilt inside of me. "We should go now." Armando said in a hurried tone to me as he helped me get up. As we walked outside, we heard someone back in the house call for Armando. "How do they know your name?" I wondered. "Come on, let's go. Not risking anything right now." Armando said to me as we walked away from the house. But one more time someone shouted his name. "Armando." This time the voice was way closer to us. I was still walking when I noticed that Armando had stopped. I wanted to get him and walk away with him, but I couldn't do anything, because I was completely in shock of who I saw standing there in the doorway calling for Armando.
