12. All Good

Alina's POV

I had a horrible sleep last night. Saving Rita was the only thing on my mind. When I woke up this morning I headed to the homegym in the house. I just needed to get my frustration out. As I was hitting the punchball I kept on fighting the tears that wanted to leave my eyes. I didn't want to cry, it made me vulnerable, something I didn't want to be right now. I got more and more frustrated as I felt tears running down on my face. I stopped for a second when I saw Armando walk in. Shirtless. That's some good distraction. "I see that you picked up some of my skills" he said proudly. "Yeah well I had a good teacher." I said to him as I wiped my tears away so that he couldn't see them. "Come spare with me." He told me as he walked over to me and challenged me to hit him. I punched him on his arm. "Alina come on, that ain't you hardest punch." He said as he tried to convince me to throw an another punch at him. He noticed that I did not had the energy to hit him that hard. "Block me alright." He said while he instantly threw a vist right at me, that I blocked as a reflex. "You could have warned me." I said angry while punching him back right at his chest. "Most of the time you can't see it coming when someone is going to hurt you amor, so your reflexes need to be good." Armando said as he tackled me down to the ground. "That wasn't necessary." I grunted. He held out his hand to help me up.

I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. I was standing not even an inch away from his face. I didn't know how to act for a second. Our faces were so close. There was so much tension between us right now, both of us couldn't deny that. He didnt't moved, he just studied my face. "I think I'm done traning." I said a little out of breath. I wasn't out of breath because I was exhausted, no it was because he got me so nervous right now. "Uhu." Was the only thing he said. We were still standing there, so close to eachother. I noticed how his eyes went looking for my lips and how his face came closer to mine. I took a step back and walked away as fast as I could. I didn't know what else to do okay. I did not wanted to kiss him. No. Well I did wanted to. But I didn't want to do it now. No. Not right now. I can't, I need to focus on getting Rita back, not on kissing a man.

I locked myself up in my room for a few hours. I just didn't want to interact with Armando after that moment this morning. I couldn't act right around him right now. But I needed to eat some lunch, so I had no other choice than facing him. I walked to the living room, but didn't see Armando there. I went looking for him. Why I did that after saying I didn't want to interact with him? No idea. As I walked to the garden I saw him sitting there looking at the view we had from the house over the city. I decided to head back to the kitchen and let him enjoy his own space. I saw that he made some eggs and had some toast ready for me. As I was eating lunch Armando came back inside. "Thank you for making lunch." I said to him as he gave me a polite smile. "Alina I talked to Mike. They're planning on getting Rita tonight. He knows where she is and AMMO and the rest of the Miami PD is ready to get her." I looked at him suprised. So she was still alive. "And?" I waited for him to get to the point where I'm gonna be involved in the mission. "You can't come. Its to dangerous. You said it yourself. Last time everything went wrong. We can't risk you getting hurt again." "But I can't just do nothing Armando." "You can wait and be there for Rita when she needs you." I just nodded. "I want you to stay in tonight alright. I'm going over to AMMO. I want to make sure that you're safe. Are you gonna stay here until after the mission?" Armando asked me. "Yeah."

If you really thought that I was gonna stay inside and listen to Armando, you're wrong. Armando was already on his way to Mike. So I had the opportunity to leave the house without him noticing. I changed into some black clothes and got two guns out of Armando's room. It couldn't be that hard to save Rita on my own right? I had found for some information on Armando's laptop. I found the address of were Rita should be, it was somewhere in a abandoned mall. I grabbed the keys of Armando's car and drove to there. I didn't want to get noticed by anyone so I parked the car somewere in the bushes and walked the rest of the distance to the building. I went into the building and started to look for a good spot where I could hide. As I was walking I heard footsteps coming towards me. I grabbed one of the guns I had with me and loaded it. I stood behind a wall waiting for the footsteps to come closer. Suddenly I didn't hear them anymore, so I checked where they went. There was a man laying unconscious on the floor and I saw a man standing in front of me. I didn't need to think twice to know who that was. The man grabbed me by my arm and took me to a room. "What are you doing here?!" He said to me as he took off his mask. "You didn't think I would listen to you right?" "Alina why'd you have to be so stupid!" "Armando I can't do nothing when it comes to Rita." Armando took of his bulletproof vest and gave it to me. "Put this on." I nodded. "Mike, Alina is here." Armando said through an earbud. I didn't hear what Mike said back but it didn't take long before he stormed into the room with Marcus. "Listen to me Lina. You can't go back now cause that will make us suspicious. But you need to listen now and do as I say. Don't do anything stupid. Stay here, have your gun ready and don't do move unless I tell you to move." Mike said with a not so happy look on his face. "Put this in so we can communicate alright." He gave me one of his earbuds. "We need to make a move now." Mike said to Marcus and Armando as they left the room.

All I heard was shooting. "Alina come we need to go." Armando said through the earbuds. "Meet me at the stairs." I walked to there, hoping that no one would notice me. I saw Armando waiting for me and walked over to him. "Rita is save. Mike put some explosives in here, so we need to run." He grabbed my hand as we made out our way of the building. "GUYS HURY." I heard Mike yell. We had stepped one foot outside when the whole building exploded. My whole body got launched in the air, what made me collapse to the ground. "You couldn't time that bomb a few minutes later Mike?" I heard Armando say. As I got up I saw Rita coming towards me. "Rita you're alright!" I said with relief. She hugged me and I didn't want to let her go anymore. "I'm alright Lina, I'm alright." I softly cried in her arms. The last couple days have been hard.  The only thing I wanted was to get her back alive. And here she is. In my arms, safe and alive. "I missed you." I said to here as she stroke my hair and smiled to me. "Were going home alright?" She said to me. I nodded. Before we left I walked over to Armando. "Thank you for helping." I said to him. "No problem Alina." He gave me a smile. I walked to the van were Rita, Dorn and Kelly were. "You could have thanked him with a kiss you know." Dorn said, while Kelly gave him a little punch and Rita winked at me. "Stop it guys. A thank you was enough." I said while I rolled my eyes at them.

I was not very much inspired while writing this chapter, I also think it could be better, but I really do not have any inspiration rn, sooo I decided to make an another chapter to compromise🤝
