( the hunt )
───────────── .°୭̥ ❁ ˎˊ˗"WHERE ARE YOU going?"
Her older sister's voice made her stop in her tracks.
Rhavena turned to look at Ser Tarik, who pursed his lips and shook his head, letting her know there was no escape.
She sighed and squeezed her eyes shut before turning and facing her sister with a forced smile."Nowhere, I was just going to... check my gardens."
"At this particular hour?" The older princess questioned, approaching her sister with slow steps and a raised eyebrow.
"Why do you say that? I always go at this time."Bullshit, but anything was better than going where she was supposed to go.
"Nu-uh, if I'm going, you're going," and without giving her a choice, Rhaenyra grabbed her sister by the arm and dragged her with her.
Rhavena did not disguise her displeasure with her growl of irritation, nor with the silent plea she gave her handmaiden and her guard as she was dragged through the corridors of the Keep by her insistent sister.
"But Nyra! I don't even like to hunt," she grumbled.
"I sent an invitation to Draven to accompany you," with that sentence, Rhavena stopped complaining and thought for a while.Reaching the gates of the Keep where the carriage was already waiting for them, Rhaenyra raised an eyebrow to give her sister the choice of being dragged along or walking on her own free will.
"If he's not there, you will regret it for the rest of your life, Rhaenyra Targaryen."
Sighing and striding angrily, Rhavena resigned herself to her protests and walked with her sister to the carriage where the king and queen —and the prince— were already waiting impatiently for them.

The carriage ride had been one of the most uncomfortable things the younger Targaryen had yet experienced. Having to travel forcefully with her father and his wife, not to mention her half-brother, Rhavena found herself constantly looking up at the ceiling to avoid meeting her father's gaze, and worse; to avoid the curious gaze of little Aegon.
Rhavena didn't hate her brother; he was a baby, after all. But after that fateful dream, she could never see him with anything but discomfort, as the image of the baby burning down always came back to her at the sight of him.
Besides, every Lord in Westeros seemed to love the little boy more than her sister and undisputed heir to the throne. And Rhavena was not stupid, far from deaf, she knew perfectly well that more than a few were thinking of replacing Rhaenyra with little Aegon.
And now, to put on top of everything else that already made her uncomfortable about her life, Alicent was pregnant, again.
"I'm glad you decided to join us, Rhavena," the queen's voice drew her attention from her disassociated thoughts back to the carriage.
