I arrive at the Gallagher's house and knock on the door. Carl and I are best friends, so I'm here almost every day. Ian answers, and I walk into the living room where Lip is teasing Carl.

"Yeah, whatever. I'm sure you're not getting a girlfriend anytime soon, Carl. Even Yn wouldn't date your crazy ass," Lip laughs, oblivious to my presence until Carl nudges him.
Ian chuckles behind me, and I give him a wink before walking over to Carl and sitting on his lap.

"Oh hey," Carl says with a smile, wrapping his arms around me.
"Wow, so are you two dating?" Lip asks, giving us a curious look before glancing at Ian, who just shrugs.
"She's my best friend," Carl says, smiling.
"Yeah, we're not a couple," I add, grinning.
"She's annoying," Carl teases.
"And he's dumb," I retort, leaning in to kiss Carl. Both of us then turn to look at Lip and burst into laughter.
"Are you two fucking with me?" Lip asks, rolling his eyes.
"Nope, we're just best friends," I reply.
"Yep," Carl agrees, still laughing.
Lip shakes his head, a bemused smile tugging at his lips. "You two are something else."
Ian joins in the laughter, clearly entertained by the banter. "Leave them alone, Lip. They've got their own thing going."
Carl squeezes me tighter, planting a playful kiss on my cheek. "Yeah, we're just best friends who happen to drive each other crazy."
"Yep, but let's go, Carl," I say, getting up and grabbing his hand, pulling him upstairs to his room.
Once we enter the room, I flop down onto the bed, feeling the relief of escaping the teasing downstairs.
"You know we have never kissed before," Carl says, breaking the silence.
I sit up and crawl towards him. "Mhm, so did you like it?" I ask. "Yes or no?"
He goes quiet, not knowing what to say, so I kiss him again as I move to sit in his lap. We make out for a while, then I pull away.
"You want to know something?" Carl says, smiling. "Lip was making fun of me because I told him I liked you."
"...Wait, really?"
"Yes."
"Well, I like you too, Carl Gallagher. I always have."
