SATURDAY EVENING, TWO DAYS UNTIL (Y/N) STARTS HIS NEW JOB
"So, you're saying you don't know what happened, but you know how it ended? Everything sounds fine to me, then."
"That-that isn't the point! I have an insane chunk of memory from an entire night missing! What if some weird shit happened? I have a new job in two days! What if they find out?!"
The slam of a Redbull hit the counter.
"Worst comes to worst, you tell them whatever the fuck happened. You need to fucking relax dawg."
Hey, it's me again. Some insane stuff happened yesterday, and now I'm dealing with the fallout. I've contacted my two most loyal companions, Sett and Talon, and requested their help to deal with the situation. Now you may ask, why those two specifically?
Ekko and Yasuo are currently held up in something production related. No idea who or what it's for, just that it's production. Lips sealed, no other info. Kind of shitty for me, but I can't do much about it. The last two members are not an option. Especially Kat. Therefore, I turned to who I could in the situation. Any opinion is better than no opinion, sometimes.
So now we're here, back in the Lanes. Discussing my relationship problems. Again.
The clink of two glasses hit the counter, interrupting my thoughts. The repugnant odor of whiskey hit my nose once again. Especially after last night, probably on the list of 'top 5 things (Y/N) doesn't want to smell.'
"Anyway, my advice? Don't worry about a thing. At least you ended up in bed with someone you knew, not that I can ever relate." Sett said, looking sorrowfully at the alcohol on the top shelf.
Simultaneously, the glass full of brown liquid in front of me was in my hand. The smell was absolutely foul, but I pinched my nose and chugged anyway. People always say that liquor tolerance comes from an acquired taste, but I say people are full of shit. This has always tasted awful.
Nothing beats the feeling of the heat that rises in my chest after downing half a glass, and nothing beats a cigarette after that. Yes, I'm addicted, and yes, I know it's bad for my health. If I die I lived a pretty good life though, and I don't really regret much. Speaking of regrets...
"What happened to that one girl you brought to the council meeting that one time?" I asked.
Sett somehow looked even sadder after I brought that up. Ouch, my bad bro.
"Came in on her banging another dude around two weeks after. Guy definitely knew about me too, so I banged him up a little to repay the favor. Should've figured anyways, but I gave her a chance regardless. Will not be doing that again."
"Sounds shit. Maybe you need a drink, too." Talon said, sliding his glass over to him. Or fourth glass, should I say. He had three empty ones sitting in front of him at the counter, and he still looked as normal as before.
"One won't hurt." He grasped the cup in his hands, contemplating for a second.
"I mean, you know what happened last time. Just keep it in mind." I said, shrugging at his questionable actions.
"Questionable vices are my thing, but maybe you're right," His expression turned into a bright grin before making his next statement.
"Sixteen Redbull cans are enough for me." He's laughing now. There's no way this guy is real.
I gave the most deadpan expression I could muster. "That's crazy, man."
The turnaround is insane, honestly. He can go from depressed to ecstatic with the flip of a switch. Kind of scary.
