Scenario

Alice, a businesswoman, reunites with her ex-best friend, Y/N, who's doing Grab Car pickups for fun and also for a side job as a pediatrician.

It's a very busy day for Alice today. And just like the devil's on her side today, her driver, Kuya Ramon, couldn't pick her up since their car was in the mechanic's shop for a checkup on the car's engine. Even though she has earned and bought lots of cars, she knew she didn't have the time to drive herself, especially since the drive to her meeting's place was about 45 minutes away from her home.

She decided to just book an online driver from Grab, remembering that she has an account there and that she sometimes uses it when her driver is not around and she wants to go somewhere. She waited for a while until a driver finally appeared on her screen.

Y/N Lastimosa.

Her eyebrows furrowed after seeing the name of her driver. A part of her wanted to cancel the pickup, but she knew she needed to get to her meeting place immediately. So of course she didn't.

"Baka naman hindi siya 'yan. Hindi naman niya kamukha 'yung picture ng driver." she murmured to herself. She still couldn't help but think about what would possibly happen if the driver was really her.

She fixed the pleats of her dress, soothing them out. Alice kept track of the car using the map that can be seen through the app. She was already outside of their gate, causing her photochromic glasses to darken because of the sunlight that was shining on her.

Alice could already see the car from afar. It was a black Mercedes-Benz. Her eyebrows furrowed more upon realizing the brand of the car that Y/N was using. Who the hell in their right mind would use a Mercedes-Benz for Grab?

Y/N stopped her car in front of Alice, unlocking the door. The doctor was well aware of who she had just picked up right now, and so? Y/N didn't mind reuniting with her so-called ex-best friend through her side job. Although she won't deny that was shocked when the long-haired girl opened the door of the shotgun seat, but she managed to not get a reaction out of her face.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" Alice asked, tucking her hair behind her ear. The doctor cleared her throat before replying, "Sure, Ma'am."

"Thank you." Alice muttered, carefully sitting on the shotgun seat. Y/N was looking over at Alice, watching her buckle her seatbelt. "Are we good to go, Ma'am?" the businesswoman felt her heart beating so fast before nodding her head to signal yes. Alice bit her lip, looking outside the window as the both of them could feel the tension and awkwardness surrounding the whole car.

Alice remembered how Y/N used to drive her around Manila when they were still studying. Those were really the times... To be honest, they both didn't know what was the reason why their frienship ended in the first place anyways. Y/N was busy driving; her attention was focused on the road. She decided not to just say anything to the businesswoman; the silence was growing around the whole vehicle.

"U-Uhm... 45 minutes ba talaga 'yung byahe?" Alice asked, breaking the silence between them. "It depends."

"What do you mean it depends...?"

"Kung traffic." Y/N said, not even bearing the long-haired woman a single glance.

"Ang lamig naman." Alice murmured, letting out a small sigh afterwards. She bit the inside of her cheek, clasping her hands together. Heck, she wasn't even referring to the temperature of the air conditioner. Y/N leaned over to the air conditioner on Alice's side before turning it in another direction so that the cold wind would blow in that direction. She also made sure to adjust the climate control afterwards.
