[15 Years Later, Alice's POV]

Labinlimang taon na rin ang nakalipas simula nu'ng nakipaghiwalay siya sa akin. At hanggang ngayon, wala pa rin akong balita tungkol sa kan'ya. Pagkatapos din niya i-send 'yung message na 'yun, wala na akong natanggap pa sa kaniya. Siguro nga ay gano'n lang talaga niya kadaling binitawan 'yung relasyon namin.

"Doc? Papasukin ko na po ba 'yung next na pasyente?" Elaine, my assistant nurse said. Ay, by the way, I'm a licensed doctor now! Double degree kasi na MBA and Medicine 'yun so tinuloy ko na lang din 'yung pagiging doctor pero I was still the one managing our businesses ever since Dad passed away.

I nodded my head to Elaine, and then she immediately let the next patient go inside the clinic. I reviewed the patient's chart while they were still settling on their chairs.

"Good morning po, Doc," the child's mom greeted. I smiled at her, "Good morning po."

A few hours have passed already, yet I still don't feel tired at all! Pero I think Elaine says otherwise. Halatang-halata na pagod na siya sa pinaggagawa niya sa buhay.

"Last patient na 'to, Doc!" she exclaimed. Tinawanan ko na lang siya at tinignan na lang 'yung chart ng last patient ko for today.

Kumunot lang 'yung noo ko sa last name nu'ng bata. Sayang naman ang pangalan, pangit naman ng surname.

Hindi ko napansin na nandito na pala sila sa harap ko kasi masyado na akong na-busy sa mga naiisip ko. Pagkatingin ko sa harap ay nagulat agad ako sa nakita ko.

Putangina?! Si Y/N?!

"Good afternoon po, Doc Ganda!" the child enthusiastically greeted me, a wide smile on her face. I couldn't help but zone out while looking at her.

I cleared my throat before smiling at the kid in front of me. "Good morning, baby. What should I call you?"

"Ana po!"

"Okay, Ana po. How are you feeling today?" I replied, making Elaine stifle a laugh beside me. The kid frowned and crossed her arms under her chest.

"You should ask her po," Ana said, pointing at Y/N. Oo nga naman! Ano ba naman, Alice? Sabog ka ata?

"Right... The information here is right sa chart niya? Follow up checkup lang, Mommy?" I asked, trying to sound curt and formal. Tumingin siya sa mata ko and I swear to God! Muntikan nang tumigil 'yung tibok ng puso ko. Eme, oa.

"Yes," she replied, still keeping her eyes on me. Umiwas na lang ako ng tingin sa kaniya at baka kung ano pa magawa ko eh.

"Okay, Ana po. Sit here beside Doc and I will listen to your heartbeat." I instructed her and she followed right away.

Y/N stood up from her seat too and went beside me, looking at Ana. "Doc, it's 'Ana' lang po," Ana corrected me.

"Okay, Ana lang po... Doc Ganda will pasok her hand sa shirt mo para marinig ko 'yung heartbeat mo okay?" I teased, chuckling. She frowned even more but still nodded and gave me a thumbs up.

I did as I said and even instructed her to do breath-ins and breath-outs. She did well, and she was so smart for her age. "Good job, Ana." I praised her, giving her a thumbs up too.

"Yehey! You called me Ana na po!"

I furrowed my eyebrows, laughing. "Kanina pa naman kita tinatawag na Ana ah?"
