"And you both are NOT dating? I call bullshit on that." Blyke said as he leaned over the back of the couch, watching as John rolled his eyes in response.

John, Blyke and Seraphina were in the common rooms of the dorms, with John laying on the couch while Seraphina laid on top of him, and Blyke was leaning against the couch they were laying on. Sera and John wanted to hang out here since it had a proper space to do stuff rather than a simple room, and Blyke, for reasons John was unaware of, wanted to tag along. John didn't really want him to go since he was pretty tired and didn't want to deal with anyone else besides Sera, but Sera wanted him to go, and John wouldn't complain if his Savior wanted it.

John hugged Seraphina a bit tighter to his chest as his eyes drooped from exhaustion, and he looked down at Seraphina with a loving gaze. "Could you hand me my energy drink?"

"Why can't you grab it?" She questioned as she raised her head from John's chest slightly, her smirk giving away the fact that she just wanted to bicker for the hell of it.

"'Cause you're basically using me as a body pillow right now." He didn't mind it, not in the slightest, but he wouldn't say that out loud. All these recent events where everything has turned ass up has caused him to even feel off about her leaving to grab water from the bathroom in the dorm room, a sense of attachment that he knew for a fact that his Savior wouldn't approve of, and that made him scared to say something that felt too clingy now, because he couldn't stand the idea of being annoying to his precious Savior, but if he didn't control himself a bit, even if she was okay with it, it would go south eventually. But it was fine. He could deal with it.

The last time he said that didn't go so well whatsoever, but he was gonna ignore that thought...

"Well, you're not complaining, so I see that as a you problem." She said jokingly, her smirk widening. Fuck, she looked so beautiful...

"You're my Savior, why would I complain about getting a free pass to be close to you?" He said before he could stop himself, immediately feeling his stomach clench with regret. Fuck. Did that sound too clingy? He's called her his Savior to her face on one or two occasions before, but one was when she was unconscious, and the other when she was half asleep. Never fully coherent in thoughts... How would she react? Would she find it odd? Call him an idiot for it? Judge him for being odd just like everyone else-

She snorted as she grabbed the can from the table, smiling playfully as she handed it to him. "Savior. That's a new one. Is that gonna replace Sera?"

John took the energy drink in his hands, his face turning red from blush as he looked away from her and took a sip of the drink before letting her put it back. "You know I'll always call you Sera..."

"I know..." She nodded with a small smile, a slight look of understanding in her beautiful eyes.

John couldn't help but turn his head back to her and smile, their eyes locking into a stare. John loved when they just looked each other in the eyes. Sera didn't see him as a heartless monster, so to have those same eyes look into his own lifeless ones made him feel whole... Made him feel complete...

"You both are basically cuddling right now, but fine, you're not dating." Blyke interrupted his thoughts, deciding to drop the topic for now. "But I've been curious about something else. How exactly does your condition work, if I can ask?"

John sighed internally. He knew that at some point that question would come up again, but he was hoping to avoid it for a bit longer, thank you very much. "I already said the gist of it before. I'm incapable of feeling regular emotions."

"Okay, but like, what extent does that go to?" He elaborated, his attention focused solely on John. "Like, was there any emotions you COULD feel? Did it take away any sensations like pain?"
