Two young souls meet unexpectedly at college, although, their paths had already been interwoven since the very beginning. The course that usually everyone despises is the reason for which they connect. What can they add or subtract to each other's l...
I feel the sun in my face warming up my skin and the smell of bagels wakes me up. I see Jennice and Clarissa eating bagels with what seems to be cream cheese.
"I know you guys are not eating bagels with cream cheese without me!!" I scream.
"Oh, but we are!!" Jennice screams back.
We all laugh and then I join them in eating the delicious bagels.
"Now, enjoy your bagels, but do not think that you have gotten away from telling us all about your little escape with Gregory Perez," says Clarissa.
I just look at her, shove my mouth with a bagel and make a gesture as to say 'sorry, too busy eating.'
Clarissa smacks me in the back and says:
"Seriously though, why don't you just accept you are in love with the dude. You guys would make such a great couple and it seems like he knows how to get you out of your comfort zone."
"Mhmm," Jennice chimes in.
"Because I am not in love with him."
I take a pause..."Fine. I will admit I feel something for him, but I am not sure what it is yet. We are just now getting to know each other. We are barely now becoming friends and I do not want to rush it. I also don't know how he feels about me, and I'm scared that it is all in my mind."
I look down and finally look up at my friends' faces, who look just as surprised as me. I just admitted out loud that I feel something for Gregory. I cannot believe I did that.
"Look," Clarissa begins, "I am about 99% sure the dude likes you, but I understand that you feel scared. It would be the first person that you actually let in completely. I know you are scared of being hurt and all of that dramatic stuff, but know that you will never know for sure until you take the risk."
Clarissa's words echo in my head throughout the morning and even though I have to admit she is right, I am still scared of what Gregory would think if he found out I... liked him.
At noon we are supposed to go make a lap around the neighborhood with a couple of my classmates. I decide to invite Gregory and so I text him. Thankfully, we exchanged phone numbers when we went ice skating together. I had completely forgot about that.

Since it is cold outside I decide to put on a pair of think leggings under my jeans, which makes me seem a bit bulky, but I prefer that than freeze to death. I opt for my pink long sleeve shirt and a big puffy jacket. I also put on a hat with one of those big pom pom balls in the top of it.
At noon we all meet up like we had planned. I am carrying my backpack since I packed some snacks, another one of the many habits I learned from my mom. I am closing my bag when Gregory says hi from behind me. His voice is so soothing.
