Pxgreg has requested to follow you.

It was a notification from Telegram. Someone new had requested to follow me. Someone I did not know. I don't usually accept random follow requests, but I can already hear Jannice and Clarissa telling me to stop being such a push over and simply live. That the love of my life could be requesting to follow me, but because of my insecurities and old fashioned way of thinking (and living), I was missing out on the chance of meeting them for simply not accepting their follow request.

I decide to follow the mysterious person back since I was curious to know why the only thing they had on their profile was a white small kitty named Snowball. After that, I put my phone down and actually set on finishing at least two assignments before going to sleep.

My alarm goes off the following morning as usual, but I had been awake way before it even rang. Yesterday was one of those nights. The nights where I cannot sleep because I have a weird feeling in my chest. The nights where it feels like something wrong is going to happen, and I am unable to get some rest. I try to get over that annoying sensation and I get up from my bed, go straight into the bathroom and start the shower. While getting into the shower I think to myself: another fastidious day.

When I get to school I decide to stop by Stardust cafe and get my usual. I got to campus early today in order to avoid interactions as much as possible and get some work done (since yesterday I was unable to finish one of the assignments that I had said I would finish).

Campus is usually empty this time a day and today was not an exception, except for the fact that Gregory was now walking up to me with a coffee in hand and a notebook under his arm.

"Hey," he says, cold as the wind that was blowing around us both.

"Hey," I reply, just as unenthusiastically.

"Can I sit with you? It honestly feels weird being on campus so early. I feel like such a scholar," he says and laughs at his own stupid joke. An action that catches me off guard.

"Yeah, it sure does," I reply, surprised by the show of emotion he just displayed.

We both sat there, in silence, him focused on his notes, and me trying my best to finish the assignment that seems like I am not going to be able to finish once again. Just having Gregory next to me made me feel uneasy for some unknown reason.

About an hour goes by before I pretend to check the time and decide it was late enough for me to use that as an excuse to get me out of that awkward situation.

"Well, I think I should probably get going. I will see you around," I say and stand up immediately after.

"I will see you then," he tells me, but in a way that almost sounded like a whisper.

Throughout the day I found myself thinking of the interaction and moment I shared with Gregory in the morning. Whenever I speak to him his words vibrate throughout my body and they keep resonating and echoing in my mind as if they were sounds bouncing off walls in a cave. I am not sure why he sparks this kind of reaction in me, but all I know is that it scares me.
