Another day, another grind some of my old friends would say. Yesterday I could not sleep at all, and I feel like a truck ran me over. I could easily just say I'm sick and not go to school, but any time I miss a class I feel as though I have missed a whole year of school. A little bit extra, I know.
Catching up is a pain, and finding someone that actually takes detailed notes is hard, so I get up and it takes every fiber of my being to stay awake during class. I have Math class today, which makes my day become even more stressful because today we have a mock exam that will be graded for some stupid reason. I get to class earlier than usual and to my surprise Gregory is already sitting on the desk next to mine, which apparently has become his sit now, for some odd reason.
After getting settled I realize Gregory is looking straight at me. The look he had on his face seemed as if he was fighting some internal battle that he was about to lose. He finally speaks.
"You okay?" He asks me. "You don't look like your regular self."
"Thanks," I reply, sarcastically. "I did not need to be reminded that I look like shit."
"Wow, there," he replies back, looking at me puzzled. "My intention was never to offend you, and if you are having a crappy day, it is not my fault," he snaps back. I could hear the discontent in his voice.
"Sorry. I did not get any sleep last night, and let's just say that today has not been the best day. To add on to my misfortune, today we have that stupid mock exam," I complain.
"Well, you said it yourself, it's a mock exam, so don't stress so much over it," he plays it off.
"I wish I could think like you. I really do, but even if it is a mock exam, it is graded, meaning it will have some kind of impact on our grade."
"Yeah, a minuscule impact," he points out.
"Even so."
With that reply I end our daily exchange of words, *or so I thought*. Gregory looks at me confused, but also with a hint of what seems to be curiosity reflected in his eyes. He then decides to take out his notebook and starts scribbling on it. I do the same, I focus on my piece of paper and start writing down formulas to try to study a little bit more before the test.

The exam was not as bad as I thought it would be, and I decide to reward my exam for not doing as horrible as I expected to, by grabbing my favorite lemonade. This time though, Gregory creeps behind me and he asks me where I am going and why. I tell him where as well as why, and he lets go of a chuckle.
"Rewarding yourself? What are you? Five? " He mocks me.
"Well, if you do not reward yourself after a stressful day and being able to get over it, then are you really living? " I question him.
He stops. Then as if searching for what to say, he looks up at the sky. He finally replies.
"I guess you are right. Let me come with you then and let's see what this lemonade you so desperately crave is all about."
"All right, fine." I say. "You better not say that I didn't warn you once you become addicted to it."
We make a bet that if he does not like it then I have to help him with his homework, but if I win, I get to ask him to do one thing for me. His proposition made me really excited and now I want him to do one thing for me really bad, but now that I think about it, what would I make him do?
