No warnings! Last chapter was a little-heartbreaking, but I'm not at the point of the story where Lucy and Colby can have that "true" heart to heart..
I haven't even gotten to the summary's meeting-point yet lol. I do have to say I'm not a long-time fan of Sam and Colby, but from what I've watched from their ghost-hunting videos, I'm a huge fan.COLBY
The vampire woke up much slower in the late morning. The halls outside his room were quiet, and the lobby is starting to blossom with life now that.. witching hour has come to an end. He picks his head up as he raises his weight by his elbows. From his comfortable position on the bed, he spends a few moments waking up by watching the weather outside his frosted window.
He needs to get up. Colby decides to leave the blankets in a hazardous mess for the cleaning service to fix. He's spent centuries reviewing hotel services and what-not. He's not above leaving the room a mess once and awhile. He is a dear and collects all his hygienic products from the bathroom because he's not going waste more money buying new ones.
By the time his suitcase is packed up, and he's fully clothed, he's doing a once over of the room before leaving. He debated texting in bed or doom-scrolling but he thought better of it.'Ok.. I have my keys, phone and room-key. I fed last night, so I should be good for the next,' Colby looks at his phone, there he sees the current date. "I'll be good for the next couple days, right?" The question is left out in the open as Colby exits the bedroom. After his chat with Lucy, he hasn't seen her or any other aspiration. The vampire is worried whatever evil-presence is left here, might be a danger to these workers and the everyday tourists.
"How was your stay, sir? Was it to your liking?" Colby hands his key over as the questions are parried over the counter. There's a man standing beside the woman he talked to and fed from.. yesterday night. Her complexion looks more rosy and lifelike than last night. Colby peeks up at her neck to see the wounds have now healed.
"It was excellent! Thanks so much, for hosting!" Colby gestures his goodwill. He excuses himself pretty easily afterwards. A couple had pushed him aside when they figured Colby was finished talking. Rude...i need to collect Lucy, and leave.
By the time he receives a message he's finished loading the last bag. As he fumbles to unlock his phone he waits by his trunk. "Lucy," Colby waits for Lucy to show up.
Colby taps the recent notification. It flits open, and in bright white letters is Sam-the-ghost-hunter. Colby hovers a finger-pad over the screen. Sam was the first one to message! What are the chances of them meeting again? Colby can also edit Sam's contact and make the nickname cuter.
'What is it?' Colby ignores the voice floating near his ear. He reacts to lucy hovering nearby and huddles closer to his car as his thumbs beat over the keyboard.Sam—Thanks again for hanging out with us last night. We were all pretty surprised when you showed up out of nowhere! Where did you come from?
Colby—you're welcome. I had fun!! Scaring you guys was not my intention you guys were all good right?
Sam—I'm fine. Amanda and Corey are sleeping. We've decided to stay one more night..
Colby—Where are you guys headed? Airport I mean.
Sam—..Bloomfield. Are you taking a flight back home or driving?
Colby—god no!! The drive would take way too long.
Colby shakes his head incredulously, while his smile is still intact.
